Great experience. Me and my wife randomly popped in after fancying some Turkish food and it went beyond our expectations. The Iskender was amazing and the Beyti was probably the best I have had in London. The service was also very good. Welcoming and generous. I have a feeling this will be our regular go to place for Turkish food.

I came here for the first time with a group of friends, it was recommended to be a really nice place.I have to say the food was really good, we opted for the platter for 4 and I can honestly say they are not shy with the portion (the pictures will show this to). The meats were very well spiced and tender. If you do like you’re ribs do try them here as they are particularly nice as well as the Adana Kebab. Also the bread is really nice especially with the hummus, I could eat it all day! We did find it pretty hard to finish it all off but the restaurant was more then happy to pack it all up for us.The service was really good and very attentiveThe food served here is Halal حلال

I loved the food here. The portions were very generous. The taste was top notch. The takeaway menu was comprehensive but varied. I ordered a portion of baklava on top of my dinner and it was perfect. The staff were very accomodating and took care of all their patrons regardless of how busy they were.My only regret is that I didn't dine-in which is my fault.

The pide was nice. Mains were dry and overpriced considering it was such a small portion. The kebabs in particular were like RUBBER. Also, we were charged for 2 items that never appeared at the table. In addition, 12.5% really???Next time I visit Bayswater, I will stick to Khans or Alounak. Or even Nandos!! At least they don't overcook their food! Thoroughly disappointed.

Potentially conned. Walked in asking for Falafel and got great interest from staff. Told them I was GF. I was told I would get a salad box. They charged me £5.99 for 3 tiny falafels and hummus. It was hilarious how they packed it up and the man told me it was my dinner. All show and dishonesty? Potentially...

Very welcoming and friendly staff, the food is extremely delicious. Ordered some Meze with Pide Bread as Starters and Iskender and Beyti for the Mains. Completed our meal with some traditional Turkish Black Tea and Baklava. If you are looking for a great Turkish Restaurant, Lokkanta is the place to go!

Very Disappointing!,Was looking for a new restaurant to try with the family in London and found Lokkanta online and was impressed with the great reviews, so we choose to eat in on Saturday 26th June and arrived at the restaurant at 19.30 to find it empty inside so choosing a table was not an issue. So we sat down to order for 4 of us my young daughters, wife and myself, at first my wife suggested we go as she was slightly concerned why was it empty at that time of the evening, whereas Khans, Grilandia and Banana Tree all on same street were busy with diners eating in, I chose to stay and suggested we give them a go as kids were hungry.Ordered the Full Platter 2 (Pic 1) which also comes with a mixed Mezze (Pic 2) this is were it all went wrong for a few reasons which I will list below -1) The Full platter 2, the lamb ribs were tiny and all fat so not enjoyable, the lamb shish was the biggest joke, they were tiny pieces as though they had run out and decided to cut one piece into as many small pieces as possible, and to add insult to injury most were rubbery fatty pieces. The quail was overcooked and dry. The kebabs and chicken shish were tasty.Definitely not worth the £55 price tag and size to feed 4.2) The only issue we had with the mixed mezze was the the so called Baba Ganoush and totally awful flavour should have guessed based on the visual image (refer to pic 2) the pale yellow lumpy looking mess3) My wife loves Kunefe (dessert) so we ordered one to share, how can u get this soo wrong!!!, firstly my wife bit into a pistachio shell, secondly they did not even add the sugar based syrup that always comes with this dish.Facts:1)The restaurant web site menu prices are incorrect as all £5 more on the restaurant menu2) They charge 12.5% service charge, most restaurants in London charge 10% service charge, we paid this in protest3) We were the only customers from entering the restaurant, eating and leaving the restaurant, so you had enough time to make an effort on quality and flavour(Maybe in hindsite should have listened to my wife and walked before ordering as she had suggested.4) I attempted to contact the manager today to discuss my dissatisfaction, only for the phone to be answered by a individual with limited english saying manager away on holiday for 2 weeks, and no one else in management to speak to as only waitress and chef.5) A shame based on such previous great reviews that drew us to you, but our experience was not great and unfortunately fist impressions count, so we would not return

This restaurant is top notch. They have the most succulent pieces of lamb and superb lamb chops. We were served with an amazing complimentary starter by the chef and our meals were accompanied with the tradition bulgur and salad.Whatever you do, don’t forget to enjoy a delicious baklava and spectacular Turkish Tea.It’s A Yes From Me ( Simon Cowel Voice )

This little Turkish restaurant is an amazing find. We ordered Platter 2 which is a sampler of the meats upon the recommendation of Abdul. The ribs were fantastic as were the minced lamb. The chicken wings were delicious. We left very little food on the table. We readily recommended this place to another table a few days later when we were eating at an Indian restaurant.
