The dimsums definitely are the frozen ones you can get from supermarkets. So speechless.

Me and my family went there twice. The first time my family said it was delicious but the second time we went there, I believe they changed the chef. Firstly, I asked for a BBQ pork with rice but the waitress told me they could not make it. Secondly, the mooli cake was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like just lumps of flour not including mooli. The siu mai was dry and cold. In conclusion, do not go to this restaurant with this horrible chef.

Lotus has an iconic location, but unfortunately the quality of the restaurant has really fallen off. The quality of the food was poor and the meal was extremely expensive.

TLDR; this is no longer the pre pandemic Lotus. Quality of dim sum is same as the frozen stuff at best.Very sad to see this place as a shadow of its former self. Before the pandemic this place was buzzing and whilst the dim sum were not the best, it was decent and the location made it a convenient to meet up with friends in the docklands. Now only the top floor is for the restaurant and the ground floor is an Asian super market. Both are executed half heartedly. The grocery shop isn’t particularly well stocked or priced. The restaurant has an extremely limited menu and I am pretty sure most of the dim sum are made from the frozen packets sold just one floor down.I cannot emphasis this enough, the food is beyond disappoint. Just check out the photos, each dish tasted as sad as it looked. With Royal China and TianTian super market just around the corner, it is no wonder why this place was so empty during lunch time on a Sat.The only saving grace is that the staff were friendly and the view is still there. However, these are the only reasons why they this is not a 1 star review.

Long awaited reopening after 1.5 yrs under new management, a very smart move to use upper deck for restaurant with wonderful river view, lower deck (previously as restaurant) as supermarket.A completely new menu with not many dim sum choices, mainly fried rices & noodles & main dishes.we tried several popular dim sum & 2 fried noodles. Noodles were average in terms of taste & portion, quality was good. 3 dim sum were 蘿蔔糕,韮菜蛟,燒賣。moli cake was very pure with flour & smell of moli only, garlic chives dumping in broken crepe, xiaomai probably fresh from supermarket downstaors.Recommemd to enjoy main dishes & noodles & rice.

Absolutely disappointing experience. We went to the restaurant 7 years ago, and didn’t like the food, but decided to give it another chance as we live locally. The food was straight out of the freezer, definitely not home made, most of it tasted quite synthetic, and the atmosphere in the restaurant felt quite outdated and cold. The waiter was really sweet and helpful, which was the only highlight of the evening, which we ended up paying almost £100 for. Wouldn’t recommend it.

If I could give 0- I would! Was taken here as a treat for Mother’s Day. The service was a shambles. Took over an hour to get part of what we ordered. The noodles never came!!! We called the attention of the waitress and mentioned our food was getting cold waiting for noodles. She went and never came back with an update. Needless to say we spoke to the manager and only paid for the drinks we ate. Left hungry to go home and order a Chinese takeaway instead. I’d come to this restaurant a few times in the past and service was slow but at least the food came. I will never come back to this restaurant. Absolutely disgusted.

Lotus has been around many years and has built a name for itself.Unfortunately, these days is only a shadow of what it used to be. Maybe the effect of the pandemic.Restaurant looks a bit rundown. Service is extremely slow.Food is OK, but just above average and not as good as it used to.

Ordered from lotus a whole duck using ubereats... but didn’t realise I needed to chop the duck myself… =.=“ if i possess that skill or am feeling adventurous, i’d probably not be ordering takeaways. However, if you manage to get as far as to actually eating the duck, it’s actually very good! (Started from 1 star when I received the duck, upgraded to 3 after eating the duck, would have been 5 if it was chopped!)Edit: 7-Feb-22; updated from 3 to 5 stars. Restaurant now state clearly and provided option to have it chopped, with or without bones and even provided the bones for making soup if needed. Roast duck, roast pork and pork knuckles are all good!

It's an iconic place, a barge on the water in Crossharbour. It's only just recently reopened so the menu is limited but will continue to grow back to its full size in time. The staff were very kind and helped my friend carry their pram upto the restaurant level. They were attentive and quick to respond to us. The food itself was great. And finally the view is amazing outside the window is the huge dock with large residential buildings all around. It's a unique setting just south of Canary Wharf.
