Nice old pub in New Street next to Devonshire Square, very traditional dark wood and cosy interior. Handy for Liverpool Street station and in a quiet road with no through traffic, road only used for access to police station behind the pub so no fumes in the street. It has an upstairs dining room but I haven’t been upstairs to see it.

Legendary City pub. Crowded at first but thinned out towards 7. Always great to stand outside. Heaters provided. Good selection of Ales and draught. Lots of gin too.

A good range of beverages and a great place to meet friends and colleagues just 5 minutes walk from Liverpool street station. Can get very busy with standing room and sociallising on the narrow road frontage.

While waiting for our train we were looking for a pizza place. Went in to ask the the bar man who was so helpful to the point he walked us to a place a few mins away. Went back for a beer afterwards and there is a great atmosphere with really friendly staff.

Small and cosy traditional English pub with nice deco (the chandeliers are a plus). Location is great just opposite Liverpool Street (via Bishopsgate). Good range of ales for those CAMRA members out there. They serve pies and some food but the kitchen was closed when we were there (Monday eve). Not much seating space but sufficient. It can get very busy at peak time.
