Maharaja Tandoori in City of London

I would definitely recommend this place! Accepted us as walk ins got a table straight away on a busy Saturday night, the food was delicious. Genuinely the best curry I have ever had. Lovely staff. Will be back. Zoe & James.

Worst Restaurant ever, I have visited. Taking the name of India, cheating the foreigners, and insulting the awesome Indian cuisine. Yesterday, we had ordered bhindi bajji mutter paneer, drumstick soup, white rice and pilau rice, and paneer tikka. Bhindi bajji, the ladys finger were not cooked at all. Pathetic. Mutter paneer, the peas are so raww taste. Drumstick soup was like dhal mixed white rice was not fresh at all. Lassi was so obvious taste, he has just put curds milk and sugar. Atlst, some hospitality. Absolutely arrogant faces, walking around. So dirty, the guy takes and throws the left out food, the vessel touching the dustbin. Immediately in that same hands, he is wiping the washed vessels. The glasses are not washed properly. We ordered Paneer tikka, exact 3pieces for 5pounds.Request for all the foreigners, this is not Indian food. It is a big fat lie. These people are cheating, in the name of India. Please don't get cheated by the name, they are cheating and masking.

Great find for us just before going watching a show. Really good food and very well priced. Staff very friendly and prepared a table for walk ins no issues. Clean and well loved restaurant. I left a bag and the staff picked it up and I contacted and they kept it for me and I went back to pick up. Thank you for a great meal we will be back when we visit again. Damien and Rachel

Lucky find on a busy Saturday night. We went for the Delux Tandoori meal for two, which was delicious, varied, well-cooked, and included three courses and coffee. Staff were friendly, and quietly efficient. Apparently the restaurant has been trading for 33 years, so they have had plenty of practice - and it showed. We will be back!

Best Korma and Jalfrezi I have ever had, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauce was A+ !! 10/10 will be eating here every time I come to London, staff were so welcoming and nice to talk to

Delightfully delicious meal with friendly staff and patrons. Certainly a more European Indian menu, but delicious for the offerings. Affordable for the quality as well.

Worst place. Do not recommend at all. Worst food, Awful staff and owner who are indeed not happy to welcome Indian guest though serving Indian cuisine and earning in the country’s name.

1) Ordered £7 Veg platter. Got exactly 1 hard ball of Onion bhajiya, 1"x1.5"x2" blob of paneer & 1 mini frozen samosa. Shocked by portion size and taste2) Dal Makhani was a liquidy broth with no salt and flavour3)....Good staff, feel sorry for them

Terrible customer service-AVOID!There was a very rude man (owner?) who did not seem to want customers from his attitude and behaviour. As soon as we entered the restaurant and while talking to him, he had his back on us!!Then he seemed unhappy that we wanted to sit at a table at the back and rudely put us off by insinuating he did not care of what we asked for -had he explained that perhaps he likes to sit customers closely, we would have been ok, but not bothered. Of course we walked out-why would anyone go to a restaurant with such unwelcoming and rude manners, no matter how good the food is??There are a lot more better and grateful ones to have customers, avoid this one!

Not a taste of India. Food is not even average. If you are Indian, definitely this place isn’t for you! They don’t know what’s taste of India! And Bad service! Worst hospitality. They talk the way as if they are doing any favors. Very rude. Not recommended
