Maharajah Indian restaurant in City of London

I'ma a picky Indian eater and one who likes spice, I ordered the Jalfrezi.Sauce was next level stuff!Girlfriend gave out to me for licking the plate with a naan.Then the owners saw the plate and laughed. Those men know good food!10/10

I have lived in India for 2 years and have never found anywhere close to serving food that tasted as great. That was until I ate at the Maharaja restaurant. Their Chicken Biryani is by far the best I've had in a very very long time. So far every dish we have tried has been 5 stars. The owners are very attentive and helpful and we highly recommend dining there. Today we also tried the Butter chicken and was extremely pleased with the flavours and overall taste. Perfect and delicious!

Absolutely fantastic meal. I am a massive vindaloo fan and was only in London for a night but wanted a proper sit down Indian meal. This place did not disappoint. The service was fantastic , staff were welcoming, made sure I had everything I needed. The food was authentic , and just fantastic for very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone!

Went there for some nice curry while I was in London. The curries are awesome. Went for a chicken madras, and it was very good! Right amount of heat, spice, and flavour. Chicken was incredibly tender too!Do note that only the bravest souls should try the vindaloo. When they say it is very hot, they mean it.

Good Indian food without being pretentious or amazing. I can, however, recommend their Rogan Josh and fried rice w eggs. Very authentic. Rest rooms needs a good cleaning and a general make over.

I’ve been eating at this restaurant for the past 20 years. As a world traveler I eat in many restaurants both expensive and inexpensive. Maharaja has been consistently delicious; it’s quite difficult for a restaurant to achieve this level of continued quality. The food is perfectly seasoned, another challenging aspect for a restaurant, fresh and satisfying. Additionally, the setting and service are exquisite. The restaurant has a long history and is certain to endure with such high-quality cuisine.

Delicious food and great vibe! My friend and I found this restaurant via the forks food festivals, where you got your entire bill 50% off! My personal favorite is the fish curry—the fish is quite fresh and is cooked to just the right amount! Coconut nan is absolutely another level—it’s slightly sweet. And if you dip it into the curry, the combination of both flavors is quite amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant!
