Went here for my birthday and had the private bar experience. It was great, had good company they let you play your own music and our bartender Harry was an amazing host serving us great drinks and giving me good advise on making my own cocktail

Gorgeous selection of spirits. Not just educated but really kind staff: Their knowledge comes with courtesy, you will appreciate this a lot! Thanks Monika for everything!

Staff are so friendly and we had a great time here. We booked the brig a private bar where we got made excellent drink, then went down to a bar for some more

An incredible underground bar which just has to survive the pandemic desertification of central London!Go there and drink, folks, you won't regret it.It has a quaint speakeasy atmosphere and a very clever concept on serving cocktails based on your preferred spirit and type of drink. You just give the barman your general preferences, likes and dislikes and he comes up with a masterpiece! On the evening of my birthday, Miguel mixed the drinks: he invented a long drink on a peat whiskey base that blew my mind and followed it with several elegant creations of different strengths and aromatic profiles that let all my friends know how talented he is.His colleague was also very attentive, charming and welcoming and the entire staff went out of their way to make it a birthday to remember. The bar also has a cosy private functions room with a beautiful piano. It's just an amazing little place deserving of your custom, if you are a cocktail fancier like me.

It's gone downhill a lot from my first visits there. The staff member was unengaging when I went there last. They don't have a menu, so you have to describe what you want. I said "Something like a Manhattan, but not a Manhattan". And I was delivered... a Manhattan! My friend asked for a gin-based cocktail and they brought gin in a glass with a bottle of tonic water. Yes... the mighty minds of the bar thought a gin and tonic was the answer to our cocktail request. And despite their website saying all cocktails were £12.50 we were charged £14.50 for two of them. I wanted to consider it an aberration, and emailed them with feedback - but was ignored. I just don't think they care anymore. Go check out a bar like 69 Colebrooke Row or the Nightjar if you want cocktail excellence.

Lovely little atmospheric cocktail bar off now lane. Good vibes and great cocktails. Casper (Caspar?) an absolute cocktail wizard whose recommendations blew our minds. Best cocktails in the city. Authentic speakeasy/nautical vibes

Fantastic whisky tasting in a cool setting. Monika was really helpful before I booked and then amazing when conducting the tasting; she's clearly very knowledgeable and made it a really memorable experience for us, including cocktail recommendations for afterwards. The only thing I'd change is the hangover the next morning!

Staff were a bit 'distracted' and unprofessional at the start of the evening, but as the night went on they became more hospitable, friendly and actually redeemed themselves... Turned into a decent night, even though the service at the beginning was not great. The venue and bar were lovely, the selection of Whiskeys and Gins were also amazing. Cocktails were hit and miss depending on who made them 🙈My advice, please be more attentive to your customers - its the least you can do when your place was almost empty and we were a few of the only customer there! All in all, a nice place that's quite hidden away, I'd certainly go again :)

This is a hidden gem. Tucked away in an alley in the basement Merchant House is a bar with great ambience, great decor, and nice selection of cocktails. Staff are very friendly. As a bonus if you order an old fashion you get a beer while you wait for them to make it. They also have some bar snacks suck as almonds.
