Was here for three times and enjoyed it every time. The food is delicious. And the Service is nice. The first time I was there with my family everyone wanted chicken curry (because no one knew the other Things on the card) and the waiter just said I won't bring you four times the same. So he explaned us what the different Things were. So we choose four different dishes and it all was great. :)

Been visiting New Taj Mahal for over 25 years. Quality of food and service has always been above average to very good. While their might be other trendy places that peak and then disappear, the restaurant remains as a consistent standby for every one of my visits to London.

One of the best places to go for authentic Indian food! I love the flavours at Taj and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Being Indian, I like the fact that the food is absolutely authentic and healthy ( not submerged in loads and loads of oil like other places). You won't be disappointed. I would totally recommend the place to others - lots of variety. This place is spice just right.

Was reading the excellent reviews for this place whilst searching for Indian restaurants in Mayfair. Gave it a shot to see what the hype was about. Can honestly say the food is just like how my mother makes at home. It's not a restaurant to go to if you expect presentation... Only if your after quality traditional mouth watering Indian food. Really a place not to just walk past.

This is a tiny gem of a restaurant, hidden downstairs & has been serving Sheperds Market for 30 + years. We have visited several times & the food has never disappointed, the dishes are authentic, very tasty & good value. The owner has always been there to greet with a warm welcome & a wealth of knowledge of Indian cuisine.

A gem! Just the restaurant I wanted to visit -- classic Indian family-style cooking in the center of London. Great food, friendly and engaged service, fair prices for Mayfair, and a small intimate yet lively dining room that made for a wonderful evening all around. Went on a Sunday evening after a long day of touring -- very relaxing, completely correct, and totally refreshing -- We'll go back!

Delicious food! Friendly staff! Small restaurant but it works, traditional Indian food and a place I would definitely return to! The jahlfreazi was pukka! Only have small bottles of beer. but don't let that stop you from trying a simple old fashioned tastey curry.

I've had a lot of better Butter Chicken so far. The service was not unfriendly, but not very caring either. Β£9,60 for the dish without rice, which was an extra Β£3,90, was way too expensive for the small amount of food I got. The taste was not convincing at all, maybe even the worst Butter Chicken I've had to this point and also looked a lot different from the others I had (see the photo), that had and inviting red to orange colour. I won't go there again unfortunately.

Really enjoyed my meal here. Ate tandoori dishes and they were very good. Supporting vegetable dishes well cooked and tasty although a touch on the salty side and hence the 4* rating. The restaurant is tiny and downstairs, not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
