Love this restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. Service always exceptional. I mainly take clients there, who are always impressed but equally a great place for a romantic meal. Very much a hidden gem in the City. You won't be disappointed.

My favourite Italian restaurant in the City of London. Fantastic food, good wine list, excellent service, great value, and time/money well spent. A real treat.

The service was really bad. We had to ask for everything like water. Our server didn't come to our table till like 15 min. after we were seated. We asked about a wine special and he didn't know what it was, so he walked away to go check. When he came back he told us, and our friend ordered it, and he just walked away. Didn't ask the rest of us if we wanted anything to drink. We would ask for things like marinara and he would bring something totally different out, so clearly he wasn't listening. Didn't seem to care. Had to ask for more water again. I do not recommend this place at all.

I came here after work with a few colleagues and ordered the gnocchi and duck.Overall, the meal was decent. The gnocchi was flavorful, and the duck kept its original taste, albeit it was a bit dry.If you're looking for a solid post-work dinner spot, and you're craving Italian, you can't go wrong here. This place won't blow you away, but it's not bad.It's a bit on the pricier side though...

Wow, on Jan 2nd I had a memorable meal in Osteria Del Mercato. For starters I had the, "Prawns served on a cream of chickpeas, guanciale, chicory and truffle oil."Followed by, "Home made pasta with mixed seafood." Both were the best seafood dishes I've tried in London or abroad in years! I often order similar seafood dishes from restaurant menus but I usually feel crestfallen when I tuck in. This time I could not fault the flavours, seasoning or the pasta as all were cooked and served to perfection! The house wine was excellent too. I didn't mean to order a desert but as the first two courses were so pleasing I had to try the Tiramisu as well - It would be rude not too! It was made by Antimo that morning and was incredible. I would love to return for my birthday or Valentines day as I left happy and contented!All praise to the chef Antimo - for that afternoon i felt like I was back in Italy! Angela x

Osteria del mercato is in the best site of the City. A little jem a bit difficult to find... It is on the first floor of Leaden Hall market. Food is really amazing. I tried the octopus, calamari and king prawns. All really perfect. Next time I will come to taste the pastas....

I had a business lunch last week at Osteria, my guests and I had a wonderful experience. Great atmosphere and food was delicious, everyone really enjoyed our lunch. Staff was very nice and attentive. I will definitely come back to this authentic Italian gem!!

This restaurant is very hidden and I must say it's confusing where to go so you don't end up in somebody's apartment. Prices are Ok for London. Services was great and the lady who served us was lovely and very helpful. I think the portions are small and my mash didn't taste very fresh. I just thought I rather support individual business than neighbouring chain of Italian restaurants.

My head hurts, I cannot understand why this place has good reviews.It wasn't just bad, it was so bad that they did not even flinch when we sent the food back - like they know themselves how bad it is. They did not apologise or ask why we sent the food back they just accepted it and removed it from our bill.We should have left after the starters. I ordered veal carpaccio and received a plate of leaves - it wasn't until I inspected that I found packet-like meat underneath all those leaves with zero flavour - for £10.90!The restaurant itself is beautiful inside so we were excited - what a let down. My friends went to a well known fast food chain afterwards - that's how bad it was. You've been warned, avoid!!
