Tried the Christmas Set Dinner and I’d vouch for the truffle soup, the Brie, beef bourguignon (served with potatoes, vegetables and mash), the chocolate tart and Christmas pudding! All tasted great and I’d definitely go back!!! The ambience is gorgeous, very romantic.Couple things I’d complain about includes the price of the Christmas set menu - it’s almost the same price if you’d order the 3 courses individually (kinda defeats the purpose of a set menu). Another is training - the waitress clearly didn’t know how to pour a pint and she poured it as if it were wine, thus resulting in too much head.Overall, I’d still give it a 5 star because food and ambience were great!

Lovely ambience and service. Food was ok and cakes and tea were good. Very helpful staffs and cosy place. However, the restaurant it’s really dark, won’t be able to take good photo.

I had my first afternoon tea here and it did not disappoint. Price was reasonable for what you get and atmosphere, at £30 per person without a glass. They had Moroccan mint tea in the selection and that was delicious. The selections on the stand looked small but really filled us up! My friend is vegetarian and they were able to give her a separate plate with vegetarian sandwiches. The scones were the best part followed by delectable desserts. Would highly recommend an afternoon tea here.

A lovely spot for afternoon tea. Really beautiful room in an incredible hotel. And the price is very reasonable! My only quibble is that the scones were very sweet, making it difficult to finish all the delicious desserts. And also I wish the music had been more elegant, suited to the surroundings. Perhaps classical music would be nice.

Lovely ambience & service. The sandwiches were ok, served in individual plates with no offer to top up. Cakes were much better and plentiful. I have had better in the same price bracket in other establishments sadly.

Our experience at the Palm Court Kimpton Fitzroy was no where near as nice as we expected. Sadly I think it’s because we were over promised by the customer service end on Instagram and on the phone as well as the waiter who was chosen to serve us, Cristiano. Before we made the reservation I asked through social media and then later confirmed by phone, if the teas and sandwiches were unlimited as it was suppose to be a gift for my husband. In both occasions the answer was yes and so I went ahead with the booking. However that was not the case.Service was a bit rude to start. My husband wanted a little more time to choose his tea but Cristiano said he needed the menu back for other guests. When I asked if I could pick another tea later, he replied “people just stick with one tea here”- not exactly unlimited. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived so I didn’t understand why we were so rushed. As soon as we finished our first plate of sandwiches, we weren’t even asked for a refill and the scones and cakes arrived. When we asked for refill of sandwiches he seemed shocked and walked off as if he was quite annoyed. We were later told that we could only one more plate of refill to share as there was no more spare sandwiches left in the kitchen, the rest were for other guests.Desserts were left unexplained and there was no menu left with us to let us know what we were eating either. They were very petite and there was only one of each. When asked if we could have one more of each one so we can both try every piece, we were told we had to share every one of them. They weren’t exactly made for cutting into half either, each one so delicate and fragile. Everything felt very stingy. As soon we finish our waiter came over again and asked if we were done so he could clear up. We didn’t even feel we had time to enjoy our tea properly. It’s such a shame as weren’t given the same waiter as everyone else experienced on Tripadvisor. Our waiter seemed very cold.In terms of taste, the sandwiches were okay. Bread was very fresh but the egg and cress sandwich in particular was a bit bland. The salmon and chicken sandwiches were very creamy and relied on those sauces for flavour. I liked them but it might not be to everyone’s taste.Scones and desserts were definitely the highlight- not surprised that the chef who made them are the winners of British Bake-off The Professionals. Scones arrived freshly, warm and crumbly. Couldn’t taste the rose in the jam but that didn’t bother me much. All the mini desserts were delicious, all very balanced and none overly sweet either. It’s a shame that service ruined our experience. It was suppose to be an early Father’s Day present as we were told they were closed on Father’s Day. So as pretty as the venue was, I doubt we would be returning if we weren’t given the time or the space to enjoy it.

They were very accommodating to my dairy allergy, and brought us vegan pastries. The ambience was spectacular. My husband doesn't even like tea, and he loved it.
