Picturehouse Central in City of London

I’ve enjoyed watching many films here. However, I came for a quiz and was underwhelmed with the service. Both my veggie options were denied and the food I did have was a bit gross and greasy. Plus when I went to the bar while waiting for quiz results, I was denied a hot chocolate because the coffee machine had already been turned off. He didn’t seem to want to serve me and I wasn’t comfortable with his attitude

Probably among the very best cinemas in London, filled to the brim with cinematic atmosphere. It's clearly made with the love of film as the motivation, which in turn brings in people who love film to have a wonderful time watching a movie and simply enjoying being there. On every wall is a captivating picture or a memento of old cinemas, the staff are welcoming, technology is fully modern, huge selection of screens and movies of all types, from modern blockbusters to art films and selected older titles on rotation. Seats are tiered for a comfortable, good view of the screen. One thing struck me that I've been missing for many years - movie sound is set to an old fashioned volume level: loud, thank you very much!... you won't notice others making noise with their popcorn, sweet wrappers or drinks, you'll be immersed in the movie, just as things should be. Well done to Picturehouse Central.

This cinema outlet has a lively bustling atmosphere. lts less bijou than my first visits four years ago.Access is via a lobby area with stairs to the first floor reception area where escalators take you to the screens on the second floor. There IS a lift though signage is hard to find upon initial entry. It could be improved too at 1st floor level.There is no automated entry system for your tickets /QR codes which is tedious. I had problems with that. They insisted l show them the original email with my seat numbers on. My battery on my phone was dying and l had naively thought a screen shot code would be fine. Accessing my email just wasn't happening...a nightmare ! I'm Autistic. I started to bristle and panic when l realised they'd only be satisfied if the reception staff printed my ticket. Wished ld done it myself at home. Fortunately l had some one with me to calm me down.You might want to challenge them on their inclusive access issues. I appreciate automation when it comes to ticket checks ! It means l don't have delays talking to human beings who aren't always sympathetic.Wonder how they treat the over 60s when they come for Silver screenings. Oops that's me too. Shall return the one star lve deducted today if l feel more looked after next time.There are two café , restaurant spaces. Prices a little steep but if you have time to eat or snack before going in there are some really nice baked nibbles and the upper level Bistro bit looks great. Usually though l just go straight into the film. The seats are really comfortable with better spacings than the average chain outlets. I've seen documentary Time Out special previews here and there's a wide choice of films with some subtitled screenings for hearing impaired . I'd check out more indie film showings here if l fancied a cinema trip without planning too far ahead. It makes a change from the usual soulless multiplex es.

Love this building interia design is far and beyond expectations. Cinema room are well designed too. Doesn't matter where you sit always best view, also seating very comfortable and wide.

Lovely cinema with reclining seats and excellent quality screens and sound. Also has a bar. Not expensive given its location.

Screen 1 is great. The seating is comfortable and a great view from every point. Great picture and sound quality. Was a shame that when I went the sound wasn't working for the 70mm print so they had to switch to a digital copy instead.

Best cinema in London. Great array of vintage, art house and indie films showing, in addition to the usual blockbusters. The member’s bar (for picturehouse central members) has a great cosy secret rooftop bar too

Fantastic, luxury and beautifully designed and lit cinema which I only just discovered!Their groundfloor bar and restaurant area is so warm and inviting with a fantastic selection of delicious snacks and drinks and complete with super friendly staff.If you want a real VIP experience when you're going to see a film then I can highly recommend Picturehouse Central and it's so conveniently located just 30 seconds walk from Piccadilly Circus.10/10 Highly recommended

Cinema is one thing but… there is a cool Cafe / Bar with a nice vibe, comfy sofas and really good atmosphere. When many places in the area are busy, this spot is perfect choice to hang out with friends with a drink or coffee. Definitely one of the places where you could also work from or even have a business meeting. Worth a visit!

A fancy cinema in the centre of London. Saw one of the smaller independent movies here. The tickets are slightly more expensive than in some other cinemas, but it has a lovely vibe, comfy seating and is really clean.
