Meal for two at 6:30, at the counter. Can recommend the counter - really good to see the kitchen making the food.Food was really good. Maybe we ordered well, but nothing disappointed.Service was good. Attentive enough, nothing to complain about.Didn’t have much to drink (nursing a bit of a hangover), just a glass of wine, a couple of sakes and a pair of non-alcoholic drinks. Bill was £170. Not terrible, but I could imagine easily spending £300 with a bit more food and a few G&Ts and wines.

We got the premium platter (last on the menu) and were really impressed by the volume of food for the price! It felt like we had 10 dishes between the 2 of us, including this gorgeous dessert. Only complaint was miso broccoli was quite salty! Everything else was incredibly tasty, I recommend sitting around the grill rather than at a table!

Used to be way better. The cod was a bit burned and the sauce too sweet. I was given the counter to seat while there was over 5 tables for 2 people free from the moment I came in to second I left , I asked the person who took me to my seating and she asked the staff that stay in the mini reception by the entrance but he said they could not give me a table instead just because.

Celebrated my sister's bday dinner here last night.. I would come again for the food as it was good! However, the service is lack of training.. we arrived at the restaurant at 6.45pm we asked for bottle still water and other cocktails it took them 20mins for the drinks to arrive. Our waitress name was called Tamara, I am disappointed with the service... never have I had a waitress rushing us to order and forgetting small things. I understand the restaurant was busy but it does not take them 30mins to get an extra cutlery.. obviously she forgot. We was in the middle eating our main course, she came by and said "if you wish to order dessert you need to order now as we need the table at 9" which is fine. But dont come to me when I'm chewing my food and ask us to order dessert asap! There was a big table next to us and they was not rushed for sure and they came before us.Came to the bill and they charge us for things that did not arrive on the table. They removed it! But what I can see is that they will charge anything on your bill and will not arrive on the table! We left the resturant at half 10!!Overall I rate the food but the service really needs big improvement!!

Welcome to Char- mania!! Everything except for the rice hot pot was charred! Very charred! I was excited for the beef fillet and at £37.50 I had high hopes. But it came overly charred and was cooked well done. How disappointing. If it was medium rare, medium- would have enjoyed it more. Instead I had to force the chewy mouthfuls down and cut off the black bits, while trying not to make a mess of my plate with black bits everywhere! The chicken wings had lovely flavour, but again charred and had to pick through it. Same with the aubergine. Nothing like paying high prices and getting a heap of carcinogens with it! The rice hot pot was lovely, and we did enjoy that. Atmosphere gets 5 stars and interesting to see well heeled and dressed folks saunter through. But I really had high hopes for the food and this restaurant and was let down. I do not feel like I need to return back for another round of charcoal.

Service at this restaurant was great tonight for our anniversary. The food is beautifully presented and the black cod definitely stole the show. The flavours were amazing! Beautiful restaurant and layout.Had a table overseeing the grill and it was very cool seeing the different dishes being cooked and plated.Very friendly and helpful staff. Our waiter was helpful in answering all our questions and made the experience enjoyable. She recommend the beef ribs and it did not disappoint. We did seem to have what looked like a small fly in our cocktail. We spoke to one of the staff members which then called over the manager who had a look and without any hassle got us a new drink.

Booked the group dining room for my birthday, Grace who I liaised with to make the booking was super helpful and answered all my questions. The dining room itself is beautiful and perfect for group dinners/celebrations. The service was amazing from the start, all the staff were lovely, super helpful and accommodating. We all had the seasonal tasting menu, it’s great because there’s no faffing around with everyone ordering they just start bringing out the food. Food was great and was brought out in a timely manner, we were all stuffed by the end of it you get so much food for £70 tasting menu!! I had a birthday cake that I wanted to cut up and give out to my guests to take home and they gave me food boxes for this and also packed up the left over food we had for us to take home. Overall a lovely experience, would definitely recommend. Great food and great service.

Service at this restaurant is excellent! My glass was consistently topped up! The food is beautifully presented. Favourite has got to be the yellowtail sashimi, the flavours are just amazing! The black cod wasn't the best I've had at Roka but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. My only thing is I wish there was a little more atmosphere at this restaurant. The restaurant was full but theres no music or beautiful decor...

This one was the best culinary experience ever had. It was a proper journey in Asia and in particular in the twists and turns of the Japanese kitchen. We went to ROKA in Mayfair and had a table with view to the grill. We chose different dishes, suggested by the waitress as “ROKA Signature”. Well, if I knew a word that could describe those amazing taste and quality and presentation, I swear I’ll use for ROKA menus. Every bite is much more then “just amazing food”: this is a proper experience that every foodie people MUST try! If you really love good food, you need to go to ROKA ❤️ A special thanks to Larisa also that took care of our dinner! :) we’ll come back for sure!!

We had the Premium Tasting Menu. It’s £90 per person but it’s so worth it. They give you so much food and all of them are great top quality food. From sushi’s to deep fried to grilled to steamed and desserts. All were amazing and we would happily go back to do the same menu again and maybe get more on top of that if we’re not already super full yet like last time.Service is amazing too, everyone was helpful and nice even under pressure, they were really busy but they try to accommodate.
