San Marco Ristorante in City of London

Not sure why it's marked as "Temporarily Closed" - it's been shut and deserted for 16 months and telephone disconnected.Clearly gone for good, which is massively sad as it was a great place

Me and other friends had chicken / chicken Caesar salad, which we quite liked. Those who had pizza didn t at all , as they found it being de frosted, despite we asked the waitress and she said they were not. Prices okay, service fairly fast.

Excellent Food, the restaurant is quite small but the food and atmosphere are very good. Would recommend.

I am afraid I was disappointed. One of the waitresses was lovely, but found the two younger waitresses pretty distracted and not as professional. My Veal milanese was nothing special, very plain and the chips were out of a frozen bag. It was not worth the cost. My son's pizza was sad looking. He enjoyed it, but he is young and any pizza is nice to him.Food came out almost immediately which was a bit odd. Too fast. Quality and price not in line with eachother.

I came here a few years ago ate with my family and everything was really well. Awesome pasta and chocolate cake. But yesterday I came for dinner with my wife (I asked for a dessert) and the waitress told me that she can't serve me dessert only. She was asked to serve everything and they dessert. So, I decided to go away.

Very nice friendly (And attractive!)waitresses but food lacks passionEnvironment pleasant, my wife was happy with her aubergine pasta, my soup was a bit like Heinz tomato soup but not quite as good.One thing was nice staff were actually Italian. I think I just made a mistake in having the soup and also wasn’t very hungry, So I am elevating it to 4 stars

Pizza is very tasty. However it's rather small and expensive. The little letters, very little, say thete is an extra pound or so, for eating inside the restaurant. I hear surprised when I went to pay the bill. I find it very annoying, even cheating innocent customers. To sum up: tasty pizza, people not honest.P.s. the waitresses are not very bright, so make sure they understand what you explain and want.

I went to few Italian places while I was in London, but this was by far the best. First of all, San Marco is staffed by people who are actually Italian, so you know that the recipes are coming straight from the source. And this was reflected in the high quality of the pasta dishes that we ordered. The prices were quite good as well. If you are staying in the area, I recommend eating at San Marco.

I'm very critical with restaurants and this place deserves its 5 stars, the service was excellent. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left i felt very much welcomed. The atmosphere is friendly and chilled. I ordered the seafood Risotto and it was delicious. Their prices are reasonable, I would have paid more for my meal.

San Marco Pizza is good for a quick bite of pizza on the way home. We had two pizzas, one vegetarian and one plain cheese. Both were good. They were not-so-large, but they tasted good while we were in a rush and the kids wanted food. There was a line as well (we ordered take-out), so the place must be somewhat popular.
