Shake Shack in City of London

Never been to Shake Shack in my life, so this was my first experience.I ordered what appeared to be the most popular items Shake Stack and Double Cheeseburger with fries and diet coke.Firstly it was quite busy so there was a short wait, nothing too long though.The crinkly fries were really nice, but you hardly get any for the £3+ they cost! You could have 2 x large fries in McDonalds and still have change from what they charge for their fries (even more if you load them up).The diet coke at £3.35 is like a medium McDonalds size drink, why so flipping expensive? Coke syrup costs pennies and this is over priced!The Shake Shack burger was really nice, however the mushroom burger element was a nightmare to eat. I took one bite and all the red hot cheese came out the back of the thing, then trying to bite through the mushroom was impossible with the whole thing coming up and flapping on my chin! The double cheeseburger was tasty.If you thought Five Guys was expensive for a burger, don't come here ;-)I spent £27.50 on my meal (for one), luckily I was able to claim it back on expenses!My comment to Shake Shack, sort the fries out! They are way too small.

4 star just for the cheese fries.cheese fries tasted so good, I'm glad I tried this one!!! lemonade is a bit too astringent, fresh, but too astringent... and when I order the seasonal drink the cashier(or manager idk) was a bit confused, about what is the seasonal drink(I mean at least you need to know what is writing on your own menu right?) and after I ordered and pay already for mine seasonal lemonade they say they don't have it right now...that was really really confusing tbf!!!! and for burgers they are too small !! tbh the price it's a bit high compared with the quality and quantity here.

food is always really good. it’s a shame shake shack doesn’t have meal deals so it can be a little pricy depending on what you get. other than that i like it. their cheese fries are the best

4 stars because cheese on cheesy fries were very powdery… probably not mixed well enough, tasted like tooth paste. Burgers and lemonade were perfect as usual

Good experience eating here at shake shack. Staff were quite polite and friendly which was very helpful. I ordered the vegan patty burger with chips. Would've liked to have some more chips especially given they were £3 but they were still nice. The water was also expensive but I expected that given the shops location The burger was also very good and tasted pretty normal despite being plant based. Will most likely return with my own water bottle.

Good, real tasting burgers. Chocolate milkshakes are good too. Service was a little slow, but then if you want a freshly made burger it will be. Its on the more expensive side, a standard burger and milkshake was over £10.

Really Great Food!!!The pride shake was so lovely & it’s great that a £1 is donated from the purchase!The chicken bites were really tasty and the chips too with the cheese sauce, bacon and spring onion yummy!!!The staff are not the happiest which is a shame as it doesn’t match the ambiance of the venue and it’s vibrant setting.

Cheese and bread was super delicious. But the meat was not good enough. It was dry and tasted weird. The fries is not of my choice due to crinkle cut. Even though they were just done (super hot) they have this weird feeling of being frozen in the middle. Otherwise nice staff and clean.

I have no complaints about the quality of the food, everything tasted great but I was appalled by the size of the Chick'n Bites. I frequent the Shake Shack in Westfield Stratford and the size of the Chick'n bites is 2 to 3 times larger. I felt like it was made for babies. I will update this review with photos from my local Shake Shack when possible. Very very disappointed by the reduction in size.
