Visited the place for the 1st time when it’s moved to city from Piccadilly Circus. Taste hasnt changed and remains high / above average tier among Japanese restaurants in London.Strongly recommend the grilled Eel rice, great portion at reasonable price.Decoration seems changed, used to be more high end decor while now looks more average (i.e more formal than wasabi say) but depends on if you are coming for taste or ambiance.

Best Japanese food ever I have had here today.

Restaurant has moved, now near Aldgate. The old restaurant was so much better in terms of the atmosphere, view and menu... Menu has been reduced a lotttt compared to at the old place... Price still the same, definitely not cheap. Food quality is still decent, luckily the still do the Foie Gra rice 😍😋 I took my friends and highly recommended them based on my previous experience at the old place, but unfortunately it's not as good as before. I would only go there for the Foie Gra rice and sashimi, nothing else (because nothing else good to choose from... 😞)

I went to this place in October 2020 without knowing that the former cooking school/canteen has moved out. However - this new Japanese restaurant is AMAZING! Great food (better than all the other Japanese restaurants in the area) and nice service. The eel don is delicious - one of the best in London. Can’t wait to come back after lockdown!

Loved it here and can't wait to come back! The eel is delicious, so soft and melt in your mouth. The sushi was honestly the best I've had in a while: nice rice, not too much vinegar or squeezing when shaping. Fresh and generous amount of fish. The drinks were good too although I didn't get any pictures of them. Only thing for improvement was the misu soup, which was slightly too sweet. The matcha desert was delicious and that's coming from a non-desert person. Would definitely come back again.

A cosy restaurant that offer authentic Japanese cuisine and a fairly good selection of sake at reasonable prices. Central, offers both counter and a more intimate section away from the crowd for a special dinner. Bonus, their menu lists 大トロ and 中トロ!! #寿司 #刺し身 #大トロ

Come here for the Foie gras rice (with terayaki sauce), definitely the best we have ever had. It is not on the menu so you will have to request directly to the staff. The Black cod is delicious and personally my favourite dish in this restaurant. The dessert is a bit disappointed but all other foods are great. Absolutely delicious Japanese food in central London.

Very delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. But I suggest if you want to try and eat, the best time is having lunch because their price is quite better.

One of the best sushi meals I’ve had anywhere (including in Tokyo). These guys have amazing produce and a range of interesting as well as predictable dishes. Highly recommend the confit octopus and wagyu beef. Perfect place to eat alone on a shopping trip or for date night.

I ordered the eel box it was delicious but I found the eel to be extremely fatty however I found getting 4 pieces of eel great , the green tea latte was the most delicious drink I have ever tried however was very luke warm and went cold quickly. My boyfriend ordered the foie gras box which wasn't to his taste, but I was impressed with how much foie gras came with the meal. The sushi chefs were very friendly, however found the restaurant staff quite rude and inattentive. Also prepare for a very long wait if you haven't booked. The prices also were a bit over the top the eel box and foie gras box were both £28. However the green tea latte was the price I was most unhappy about as they were £4 each
