excellent food and service for the price halal makes it even more enjoyable as I love meat !!

Eaten here many times over the year - it's always a refreshing change from the chains of covent garden - the set menus are enormous, tasty and good value for the location, Turkish cuisine is hugely under valued in the UK. Have always found service good, sometimes it takes a while for the first dish to arrive, but i always got the sense that was because it was being cooked fresh.

I can't say I would recommend this place. It's very much a tourist trap restaurant, and pretty unpleasantly decorated. As others have commented, the staff are pretty poor - slow, unresponsive service, sloppy serving (spilled wine, dropped plates, wrong dishes brought out), poor English and no help at all recommending anything - generally a bit crap. My dish was incredibly average - the tagine was just stewed beef in gravy (admittedly nice cut of meat) with a few flaked almonds and cut dates garnished on top; bit of a joke really, and certainly not a tagine.Don't bother basically. If you want authentic Turkish food, go to Kingsland Road in Dalston.

They bring a good home made bread with olives and hummus while you wait to order. It was 4 of us but there were 3 pieces of bread with hummus and olive oil and only 3 olives. We had main courses and 2 bottles of wine. My mussaha was ok

Great Turkish cuisine. Amazing tasty dishes with a wide variety of spices.

Excellent food, great upstairs area with glass roof.

I liked this place. It is not your Special Occasion Place. The decor is simple and the place is smart but not outstanding. Its a eatery rather than restaurant, but the meal was enjoyable. If you're after good food you're in for a treat.Unfortunately the place is let down by the staff. The waiters are there and their there when you need them but they could do with more training. The food came in quick and together but there were some mishaps. As I have never been there before I didn't know what to expect and the waiter did not pick on that. Their were more servers than waiters. However we went there to eat and eat we did. Vine Leaf Parcels With Beaf are excellent. Try!

Really really slow service, only to be told that half the menu had run out and we had to re-order. Even on the way in half our group was accused of going somewhere they shouldn't, when they were following us to our table. Then the meal arrived and it was still missing things. Apparently this place used to be great, but tonight was just abysmal.

Food was good and in good portions... The personel was downright unpolite and unaware what was going on...

From the start we were greated by a nochalant huff at the front desk. He showed us to the waiting area where we were soon seated upstairs in what i can only describe as a restaurant decorated in "warehouse chic" but minus the chic. Service was terrible we waited ages for our starter which arrived at the same time as a luke-warm main course. Overall i would describe the experience as dire, to put it politely.
