Mediocre Malaysian food. The chicken pieces in both dishes are REALLY smelly, which are ludicrous if you take into account the fact that the laksa and the fried rice are £13.8 and £11.5 respectively.Another complaint: unfriendly, if not rude staff. The waiters in general are pretty nice though; it’s the waitresses who should be embarrassed of their very attitude.- I can’t stand cucumber so asked that they remove the cucumber slices in the laksa. They forgot about it and did not bother to apologise when I pointed it out. There were still several cucumber slices when served the second time.- The music was quite loud so my husband asked if they could turn it down a bit and the answer was “no” - the reason being that by doing so we would “be able to hear other people talking”, which regrettably barely made sense to me.There are much, much better alternatives in Central London and they are cheaper than Laxsa without compromising the freshness of the ingredients.

Most delicious Malaysian food I’ve had in London so far. Go for the Laksa! Can’t go wrong! We also ordered the papaya salad and the oyster mushrooms. Everything was exceptionally flavourful. Make a reservation ahead of time for dinner! Note they also have a great happy hour, 2 cocktails for £15. Will be back!

We did not enjoy our meal. We ordered 3 laksas as we were told they were mild we ordered for 2 to be spicy as a proper laksa. We got 3 mild bowls. When we said we had ordered for spicy ones another server said they are all the same: mild. We added some chili but it was obviously not the same. The chicken dumplings were nothing special, quite bland. The roti was the best dish by bar. Delicious!

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised on my first trip here. The food was delicious. Often in many restaurants, when you order noodles or rice dishes, there isn't much ingredients. This is not the case here. My noodles were full or chicken, vegetables and prawns. All very reasonably priced. Service was brilliant too. Well done and keep up the good work.

Very nice service. Good music. Big portions and very tasty food. Very busy place on Saturday, but didn't wait for table more than 2 minutes.

Decent food but let down by the service.I took three friends and ordered starters and mains. One of my friend’s starter came when he nearly finished his mains. My laksa came after two of my friends finished their main courses. No apology from the staff. Instead, we were told it’s not her fault and that the food was late because it was freshly prepared. When my main arrived, my friend complained about the lateness. The staff simply asked if we want her to take the food back or if I want to have it.I thought the starters were decent, I especially liked the fried chicken. But I don’t think my laksa was particularly great.None of us will be returning due to the waitress.

I can only comment based on our takeaway experience. We bought jungle laksa, assam laksa and wat tan hor. The photos therefore is one that we plated at home and not from the restaurant. All three portions were hearty and executed really well. We would definitely order from Laxsa Soho again!Following a successful takeaway review, I’ve since visited the restaurant. The food quality remain consistent and good. Service was personable. The only downside is restaurant space is not spacious. Not a place I could bring along a baby in a pushchair. Additionally, our mains have arrived before our starters. We definitely enjoyed ordering a takeaway and dining at home instead.

A local bar area with some authentic Malaysian dish. Although I think this is really good for people who come for drinks and have some snacks. Laksa wise think the flavour wasn’t really as authentic as what you would get in Malaysia. It’s a great experience to taste a bit of Asian cuisine around the Soho area.

Friendly staff, cosy place, looks /feels more like a bar turned place to eat as well. Dark interior and loud music, difficult to chat, if you're sat at back of restaurant. Wasn't busy inside for Monday night, but seating available outside on street. Varied options on menu. Food was ok, good size portions, 2 mains, 1 starter plus 2 drinks came to £43. Traditional Laxsa didn't look appealing but tasted flavoursome. Traditional Nasi lemak tasted ok... Coconut rice was weak in coconut flavour, curry wasn't authentic, was edible but not amazing. Chicken satay, enjoyed that they used chicken thigh rather than breast. The meat wasn't marinated well enough, satay sauce was ok. Wanted to try the roti, but wasn't sure whether it was freshly made onsite or bought in. Overall, was ok.Not worth going back.
