overall: cosy atmosphere w/ good food. great place to catch up with friends. must order the seabass & som tam (if they have)!chicken skewers 🐔: tender juicy chicken. smell absolutely divine from the lemon grass & shallots.laab 🐓: good old stir fry mince w/ herbs. nothing special.som tam (daily special) 🥗: obsessed w/ the dish. perfect blend of spiciness & freshness. extra umami from the dried shrimps.whole deep fried seabass 🐟: MVP of the night. super crunchy skin on both sides (normally the bottom part gets soggy). addicting sour tingly sauce w/ additional freshness from herbs & mint on top. love the firm texture of seabass.5 spiced soy braised pork 🐖: hearty sweet sauce w/ a slightly pickled flavour from the fermented veggies. beautifully soft boiled egg. but the pork was definitely not braised long enough, it was tough & chewy.sticky rice 🍚: authentic presentation in bamboo. tho i prefer jasmine rice w/ saucy dishes.palm sugar ice cream 🍦: unique flavour ice cream. perfectly caramelised banana.jackfruit in coconut cream 🥥: not sure if the sticky rice donuts goes well w/ coconut cream, but when eaten separately is absolutely delicious.

SO GOOD. Thai food in London is amazing, but this place is my absolute favorite. The flavors are sooo rich and remind me of actually being in Thailand. On my top list of London restaurants. Highly recommend.

Great food, but not the place for the common Thai dishes such as Pad Thai and papaya salad so check the menu first. Was a bit disappointed that the Thai iced tea was watered down

we had an overall good dinner at som saa. we chose the set menu, plus the whole fried seabass. the chicken skewers were the only stand-out item for us, really flavoursome. everything else, including the seabass, were ok but nothing I would be coming back for. the lady that attended our table was fantastic and made us feel very welcome and well looked after throughout the evening; on the contrary, the gentleman acting like the manager was cold and standoffish, just rushing customers out

Friendly staff with frequent water top ups without asking!Food was very nice, flavourful and spicy.Overall, the dishes were well presented. We went for the £45 set menu in which the give you a LOT of food and variety.

Staff were pretty good, venue had a night atmosphere. Food was well presented, just didn't taste all that great. Felt like it lacked a kick which I expect in Thai food.

A different take on Thai food - I enjoyed the greens and mushrooms, the trout, the green curry and the papaya salad. I didn’t give it a 5 ⭐️ as I prefer my typical Thai food but the flavors are spot on. Having said that, the Thai iced tea and the hot tea selection are both good. The decor is amazing!

Excellent Thai food! The fried sea bass is very good, and also highly recommend the desserts. Muay Thai cocktail was also great - lovely flavours and very smooth. Best thing of all, it’s great value for such high quality.Sadly, although the service was friendly, the waitress didn’t write down our order and so forgot an item

Had lunch at Som Saa on 30-01-21. I ordered nahm tok pla thort (sea bass with herbs), dtam dtaeng kwaa (papaya salad), gai golae ping (chicken skew), gaeng Khiao waan jay ( green curry with vegetables) and mu parlow. Service and quality of food was of high quality . I could see that ingredients used were fresh and also appreciate the chef’s effort in serving high quality meals in the restaurant. Unfortunately I am not able to rate it higher than 3 stars because the chef could not get the balance of flavour right. Everything I ordered were either too salty , too sour or both. I feel that there should be a fine balance between sweetness, saltiness and sourness when it comes to Thai food. I had to keep drinking water during the meal because the food was simply too salty. This is unfortunate as I really like the restaurant and would not hesitate to go back if only the chef could get the balance right.KK
