St Bart's Brewery in City of London

Balfour hosted us for our company Christmas party this year and wowowowow. Food? Amazing. Interiors? Amazing. Staff? A JOY! Thank you so much Balfour we had an incredible time and can't sing your praises enough!

We held our Christmas Party at St Barts last Friday (3/12/2021) and just had the most incredible party! This was all thanks to the amazing team at the venue from the bar and service staff who were so friendly and helpful to the chef for the delicious food and last but not least our event manager Jola! Jola was so accommodating, always quick to reply and did such great work to ensure everything ran smoothly. Not only is she fab at her job, she is a genuinely lovely person who did everything with all with a big smile on her face. The venue looked beautiful with fairy lights, a big tree and stunning table dressings. We brought in our own drag entertainers and partied until 1am. What a night - thanks again Balfour St Barts!

The venue is amazing, staff are exceptional and the management is of a standard of excellence all requirements were met when scheduling an event here. I am extremely happy to recommend this place as they have incredible bartenders who were providing a memorable experience

We had been searching for a wedding venue with a rustic touch and were struggling to find the perfect venue without cracking our wallets. We came across Balfour St Barts and spoke to Jola directly who was so incredibly accommodating. Jola is the events manager and she is the sweetest and most professional woman we have met during our wedding planning journey. Jola really made sure that everything was ready, she really took off a lot of wedding stress.What we loved about the venue is that there were different packages and you can customise them based on what you want which is amazing! Really there was nothing for us to worry about at all as everything was taken care of. All we had to do is provide guest list, seating plan and dietary requirements and all the rest was fully handled by the team.We even had the chance to meet the lovely team and the chefs which gave it such a personal touch as well.The food is out of this world! We had a complementary taster session and the food just blew us away! All the guests were blown away and even now they are telling us how AMAZING the Chicken & mushroom dish was and the chocolate fudge cake.The reception was just beautiful, everyone loved the venue and how intimate it was. You barely need any decoration as the venue already has such a beautiful interior.Thank you Jola and the Balfour team for making our wedding so special. We loved working with you all. Special thank you to Jola who bared with every request we had and made our day even more special.Anyone looking for a reception venue, we would 100% recommend Balfour St Barts. With amazing food, good vibes and incredibly organised service.

I organised my sister’s wedding, originally booked for 2020, rescheduled for 2021, then totally rearranged within 3 weeks as restrictions were not lifted as promised.Barts Brewery/Balfour were with me every step of the way. Helpful, supportive, flexible, willing to accommodate in any way they could. Even though they were having such hardship themselves having been shut for the duration of the pandemic, they could not do enough to help, and I would whole heartly recommend them.The day itself was fantastic from start to finish (even though we were operating within restrictions) it did not affect the day at all and that was down to Daria and her amazing team. The food and wine were of a very high standard, I have never known such good quality for large number catering. All the staff were totally ‘on it’ from set up to delivery, nothing was too much trouble, and everything was carried out super efficiently.For any Central London event this venue is one of the best, high quality, value for money and amazing staff. What more could anyone ask for.

We had a really great evening at the Balfour brewery last week. We had the whole of the upstairs mezzanine for a big work party, around 20 colleagues attended. The interior has been recently updated and looks very classy, lots of high ceilings with ornate light fittings, with some darker tones on some of the walls which makes it feel intimate and cosy. We had excellent table service and the cocktails were particularly good. We then dined from their a la carte menu, which was reasonably priced and the portion sizes were good. The staff were all excellent, very welcoming and accommodating of our requests, taking the time to make original cocktails for those who couldn’t choose from their menu. I would definitely recommend this venue for a function, it was so easy to organise and we had a really fun evening. Thanks to all the team for looking after us!

Exactly a year ago we got married at St Barts Brewery and it dawned on me I never left a review. So for those who may be considering this venue for your wedding (from 2021, when all the covid madness has blown over!) I cannot recommend it enough. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate every single request we had. If you want somewhere flexible, where you can have the food you want, the booze you want and literally everything else you want, these are the guys for you. We had simply the best wedding, wonderfully organised by Pam and the crew who were not only great to deal with but super skilled and efficient. The chef is brilliant and the food and recipes we requested were perfectly done. I could keep going but basically this is a venue that really cares, is extremely experienced and will work very hard to make sure you have the wedding that you want. Would give 10 stars if I could. x

I got to photograph a wedding at St Bart's Brewery this summer. The open room with the mezzanine above is fantastic for high energy weddings and a band on the stage makes for one hell of party! Super friendly and helpful staff too. Also great location for photos outside with the park and Smithfield's market right next door. Highly recommend!

A great place to unwind and to enjoy an excellent pint of beer. Great attentive staff. A mezzanine is always a plus, just a very pleasant place to go and have a drink! I thoroughly recommend as a base for exploring Smithfield and St. Bart's. Top marks.

I had flat iron steak (£10), Smithfield slaw (£2.50) and house red bottle (£20). Service was £4.19. Server didn't ask if I wanted to taste the wine and didn't swap dinner knife for a steak knife (lost a star). Lovely place, delicious food definitely would recommend for groups of 5-10 people. I'll come back here.
