Steam Bar in City of London

We had a corporate quiz night at Steam which was brilliant! A great bar, great staff and great atmosphere. I would also recommend their Sports Personality Lunches and Evening speaking events. Some great names attend and they are really good events!

Was recommended this place by one of my colleagues. However, I was really unpleasantly surprised...The place was rather quiet, yet the staff made one mistake after another; first, they got our drinks order wrong, then the food came out cold and at the end, we were overcharged! Mistakes happen, but the worst was the reaction of the manager who didn't even apologize (not to mention taking something out of our bill); he blamed us for coming at the wrong time! What does that even mean?! All in all, awful service. Overpriced for what you get in a mediocre basement bar. Not coming back.

I love the steam bar. I've been coming here for over 10 years and never had a bad experience. The team are great and the food is always good. Well priced as well for the city. They also have sky sports and show cricket/golf when it's on.

Fabulous wine bar, centrally located in city of London. Good drink selection, food platters are delicious too. Great space to socialise. Stairs can be tricky to navigate after a great night at Steam wine bar

The place to go if you want to watch a sporting event but diners could be annoyed if they are just there for lunch.Food is good but my eggs were very runny. Good menu however.Staff excellent , pleasant and attentive...always there or thereabouts. Re the four tv's it should be made clear that only the manager and staff touch the tv channels and tv sound otherwise it can lead to unpleasantness. Those not interested in the sporting event should be segregated to enjoy their lunch . The City needs restaurants that show sport and I would recommend this restaurant.

Brilliant venue. We held a reunion there last night for 50 - 60 people. We had plenty of room reserved so we could walk around freely and mix. Without the usual city noisy background, we could easily converse and hear each other. Happy hour meant it was also brilliant value for money. Staff friendly and polite and lovely surroundings. A great find. Thank you Steam.

I rented the Steam Wine Bar for my Birthday/Leaving party, and was very impressed. The venue is beautiful and elegant, drinks are affordable, and you can provide food for guests at an excellent price. The Staff were also very polite.Thank you for a fantastic party!
