I've been to this restaurant 2 times, both before going to the theatre, and I've had a brilliant experience both times. The staff is very nice and polite, the atmosphere is nice and quiet and the food is delicious. First time I had a fantastic seafood tagliatelle, but this second time I had the pan-fried sea bass with Kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes and crushed potatoes with basil pesto, and it was amazing. The fish was delicious and the mix of flavours with the potatoes and the basil pesto was really tasty.I'll repeat for sure every time I'm in the area on a pre-theatre lunch/dinner.

Out for a meal before the theatreI ordered a set meal and the s/o ordered separately.Starters of whitebait and garlic bread were good.Mains of risotto and penne pomardo were tasteless and bland.Dessert was 2 chocolate fondant desserts. One came to the table. It was eaten before the other came, ten minutes later. Our complaint was handled by (I assume) the manager. 50% off food and dessert on the house. Will I come back? I doubt it, considering all the competing restaurants around covent garden at similar price and better quality.

Everything about this place (including the grease splattered decor) says it is a chain restaurant with a fast turnover. There are others in this area that come into the same category but do it so much better. I found my risotto to be literally inedible - totally bland, soup like and floating in oil - and had to leave it. When the waiter asked me if I'd enjoyed it and I said no, he laughed.

It was a nice experience being here, dough some things are out of place. My auntie who was with us said that her start a that was meat was cold. I don't know if it was ment to be warm. Another warmth problem was the sauce provided for my dough balls was cold.My dough balls starter was nice but had some red stuff which found out to be pepper which I didn't want. But the margarita pizza as my main was great. One last factor is HOW CLEAN THE PLATES WAS FOR MY ICE CREAM! The ice cream itself was nice and tastie but the bowl was not clean. I found red stuff at the bottom hiding under my ice cream. It was hard and looked like it could of easily been cleaned off!It is the day after I was there that I'm making this review and of course I haven't been sick or ill. For short this place is good but please CLEAN DISHES PROPERLY! You could make someone ill. And for people who come here, if you want something warmth'ed tell the staff.

The food was not bad but not special either. The menu however was very limited. Each meat appeared only once in pasta/pizza.Squid (Starter) - all of the taste was in the flakey batter, though the batter was nice with herbsRice balls with mozzarella inside (starter) - nice, served with a simple (relatively bland) tomato sauceTagliatelle Bolognese (main) - mince beef and pork in Bolognese sauce, nothing special

It was a freezing cold day but this place was as cold no heating turned on, warmest place was the Dyson handryer in the loo. what is it with Strada, they never have what you want on the menu, why not give you a hand written note of what they actually have, place was empty just us and another couple now I know why, we actually felt unwelcome and it was like we were a nuisance to staff, will never go there again

Strada has gone downhill👎I used to love them but this will be my last visit.Today I ordered calamari and meatball risottoCalamari was reheated. I could tellRisotto was runny salty and the meatballs were cheap. The only thing good was the waiters service and the cold drinks.

Disappointing tagliatelle bolognaise which was ordered by 2 of my party. We expected this to a Strada classic but it was uninteresting, bland, and with a measley amount of Parmesan. For over £11 this was a big disappointment! I ordered mushroom tortellini which was very enjoyable. The ambience was fine and service was speedy.

I fancied some steak on Friday 12 August and my friend suggested we go to Strada, Panton Street. Upon our arrival the waitress looked at us and turned back and whispered something to her collegue. Instantly felt unwelcomed and asked my friend if she was sure that she always goes there to eat?The horrible waitress placed us in the middle of the floor, although there was free tables on the side and back. My friend asked to sit on the empty seats on the sides and the response we got was rude, "we are expecting 4 people that table is for 4people not 2"We eventually got seats at the back, also we were the only black people in there. Each time the waitress came to our table, she was rude and we asked for the manager Rui as my friend knew him. This was a new manager/female and we explained what has been going on, she cut us short because I think she didn't want the other dinners to hear. The manager servered us the whole night and the waitress attitude changed and she was smiling all the time......Our experience was awful and i will never go in there again and I will pass on the word, the people that work there are rascist. There was also an issue with our payment, we never recieved any free drinks or apology from the awful waitress. The food wasn't all that either.

Really disappointing - having booked two tables for a pre-theatre meal; we were one of the first parties to be seated but nearly last to receive our meals (the waitresses were prompted several times). It took 45 minutes from ordering to receiving food and one of those meals were incorrect and had to be sent back although the correct meal arrived fairly fast - it didn't stop us being billed for the incorrect meal though and had to pointed out to the waiting staff! No time for dessert or coffee as would have missed curtains up!
