Surprise at Pimlico in City of London

I love restaurants like this. Small and welcoming, very personable. Short menu with a small number of things done very well. And excellent value, too.

What a beautiful rustic place to go! I went last Friday and had an absolute blast. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food (especially the steak) was so unique. If you want to go somewhere homely I’d recommend 1000%

Supper at Grumbles.. Had the really delicious tiger prawns in chilli tomato garlic sauce for starters and moules mariniers with chips for main. Haven't been to Grumbles for a bit and won't leave it so long - a really cheering evening - the others has fish pie and battered cod which they also enjoyed.

How fortunate to have stumbled on Grumbles. Quieter than it would have been in days gone of course, yet a perfect lunch before heading to a concert at nearby St Gabriel’s.Very friendly service, delicious food and generous portions.What more do you need?Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Beautiful food and a lovely restaurant. Would of been 5 stars, but the service was slow and we felt a bit overlooked for some of the other customers.

Food was delicious! A small and authentic restaurant with lots of character. Attentive staff, good wine and reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend and look forward to returning!

Stumbled over this when I was getting hungry. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, cosy grouping of the tables of different sizes. The lunch menu was plenty and tasted very good. Maybe I'll skip the dessert next time and try the foie gras instead as starter... Service was quiet and quick. Can you call it typical English? :-) I liked the down-to-earth approach a lot.

OMG gem of a place in Pimlico. Lovely quaint restaurant, relaxing atmosphere with great service topped off by welcoming owners/staff. The menu selections were just right and prices very affordable. Would certainly recommend this place
