Thai Square-The Strand in City of London

Lovely environment. I would come back with my friends for the atmosphere but not particularly for the food. I ordered the green curry chicken with rice set lunch with a side of Thai dumplings and I must say that my lunch lacks flavour. I can tell that the chicken has merely been boiled but not properly seasoned.

Really has gone downhill enormously. Inside there are dirty windows and even a cracked window that nobody has bothered to replace. Green curry was hugely disappointing. Not at all authentic and chicken was devoid of any flavour. My order was for a green curry and they sent a red curry. A few minutes later a green curry arrived (how so quick?) and tasted very basic. Starter platter also average. Shame. First came here 20 years and seems to have really gone downhill.

Terrible food and was too expensive, seabass was cold and none of the ingredients tasted fresh. Incredibly disappointed, especially with the thai green curry. Will never go again and do not recommend anyone else to go either

Delicious food. We had the pre theatre menu which was great value and great choices. The food was freshly cooked but delivered swiftly by friendly staff. Highly recommended

Seeing as my email was ignored:I am not usually one to complain, but tonight I visited your Strand restaurant and was really disappointed with the quality of my food.I have been to your Islington branch many times and I am always blown away by the quality of the chicken in your curry’s. I always get the Massaman chicken curry and love that the chicken melts in your mouth and have returned many times. However at the Strand branch last Wednesday evening, not only was myself and my friends dinner ready in just 5 minutes, the quality of the curry was 0 compared to the Islington branch. The chicken was tough and chewy, and the potatoes had not been crinkle cut like they are at the Islington branch.I spent £17 on a really disappointing chicken curry dish and some rice, this is a lot of money to pay for bad quality food.I am really hoping this was just a one off and a bad day for your restaurant, but sadly I will not be returning and now worry the quality has dropped so much that the Islington branch may be the same.

Come here for a bite to eat for lunch. Place is lovely and love the blossom tree in the middle of the restaurant. Staff are friendly. Food tasted amazing and fresh. Toilets located in basement. Didn't happen to see a disabled toilet there so best to check when booking as the steps are very steep. Price is reasonable specially as they have a set lunch menu. We had chicken pad thai and sweet and sour chicken with rice and spring rolls for starters. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Lovely place and lovely food. Excellent service. Very nice atmosphere. Quite pricy, but It is ok. I will definitely come back.

Pad Thai was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and look forward to returning. The atmosphere is tranquil, service is very good and prices are reasonable. Also the chicken is halal.
