Lovely little English pub in the heart of London. Menu consists of a selection of pies, both meat and vegan with mash or chips and mushy peas. However, the pies are deeeelicious! They also offer a good selection of beers, wines etc.We were there on a Friday lunchtime so it was busy but the service was good. We didn't wait very long at all for our food. The place was clean with staff sanitising the tables when people left. The toilets were spotless. We will definitely remember this next time we are in London.if you e joy simple wholesome food and good beer in a buzzing atmosphere, this is for you

Nice old fashioned boozer with good array of lager and ales on tap. Also have a couple of 'booths' at the bar for couples to have a more private bar experience. Also do a good looking pie menu.

·

Nice welcoming pub. Loved the little cubicles.

·

Quite unfriendly staff (think it was the landlady). Went to play on the dart board (Saturday lunch) as the place was empty, but we’re told we were not allowed to unless we had called in advance to ask.. made very little sense as it was empty and we were paying customers.

Not a bad little boozer. Pies look interesting, may have to visit again to try one.

·

Sitting at the back of the pub we were surrounded by this awful toilet smell. The explanation of an occasional drainage problem doesn't really help. Staff is friendly but the smell is off-putting.

·

Cosy pub for after work drinks. First time there, would happily go back.

·

Great beer. Pub always full and thriving. Love the internal 200 year old divisions on the left of the bar. Well worth a visit

On the face of it, the Barley Mow is a funny looking place. It’s got that *huge* sign on the front, then as you walk in there’s what looks like a large wardrobe right in front of you.A quick explore reveals this is actually one of London’s best pubs. The wardrobe is actually one of two private drinking booths attached to the bar. It’s a small two room pub, decorated with pump clips from beers gone by.To me, it’s what a proper local pub should be: warm, intimate, friendly. Given it’s location, I was also impressed to find a darts board in the back room, I hope it’s still used.

A proper old school pub in Marylebone - a great find. A wood panelled central bar with front and back rooms. Wooden floors, beer tap badges on the walls - an unpretentious gem. A listed building - so it’s thankfully not going to change much!Decent selection of real ales and craft beers - but expect Marylebone prices. Definitely worth checking out if you like authentic boozers!
