Afternoon tea pretty good but not the best having experienced almost all top London 5 star hotels afternoon tea. Sandwiches were dry on edges & none that made me go yum. Cakes were all lovely very pretty & tasted lovely not too rich or sweet just a light fresh taste. A good waiter or waitress can make the experience so much greater I always think but unfortunately ours didn't so I've dropped a star for the sandwiches & waiter.

OUTSTANDINGI invited a few of my corporate team for am early Christmas lunch and everyone had a wonderful time. The service was perfection. The food and wine an absolute delight.I personally adored the monkfish that was cooked and served to perfection.Such as joy to be in a Central London dining room where the deco was not trying to flash the cash in your face and all that mattered was the food and professional service. If you want to eat well in a relaxed refined atmosphere then you cannot go wrong here.I will be back often.Very good value for money too.

Absolutely brilliant! Delicious food and drinks and very lovely staff. Even with a our dietary requirements (vegan/vegetarian as well as others) we were still able to enjoy a delicious selection.

We are regular visitors at The Berkeley and have to say that on this occasion we had the best time and also received the best service to date, that is not to say that the previous occasions were bad as had they been we would not be returning customers. However, on this occasion Carlos who served us diligently and with great professionalism ensured that we all had food and drink aplenty, what made this even more challenging was having two very hungry young men in our party of five that he kept satisfied, which was no easy task. So a massive shout out to 'Carlos' for the phenomenal service throughout our time there. The sandwiches were as always exquisite, we requested Halal food when booking and I myself requested on the day oatmilk coffees and Gluten free bread for my sandwiches to he prepared in. All were served in a very professional and timely manner. When requesting extra sandwiches I was delighted to see that I was provided with the whole range of sandwiches rather than the two or three I had requested, my sons were also provided with more than they had asked for which was very pleasing. All the sandwiches were eaten with great satisfaction. The desserts were absolutely sublime, from the biscuit to the cheesecake made in the shape of a strawberry to the pistachio cake to the mango and exotic fruit cake. The flavours in the cakes were just perfect with no flavour being so overpowering that it interfered with the pallette to a level where other items could not be enjoyed. Some of the cakes we were unable to finish and so were packed in a delightful box for us to take home and enjoy later.Just as we thought we had finished Carlos surprised us further with plain and raisin scones, clotted cream and an array of jams. Even after eating the sandwiches, cakes, teas and coffees who can resist a warm freshly baked scone? We couldn't and as a result they were eaten with much joy on the faces of all.The pictures are of an oatmilk flat white, gluten free sandwiches with a bowl of quinoa and artichoke and a salad consisting of pickled cherry tomatoes, radish and cucumbers, the individual desserts in honour of a catwalk with designs from Moschino and Valentino amongst others and last but not least the fresh scones with clotted cream and jams.As it was our daughter's 25th birthday the staff in the Collins Room surprised her with a little plate of her own with a personalised message and a delightful little cake for her and on the table when we arrived was a personalised birthday card wishing her a happy birthday from all in The Collins Room.Overall an absolutely fantastic afternoon tea and a perfect way to spend our daughters 25th birthday. Thank you The Colling Room and The Berkeley Hotel.

I do go for several afternoon teas, and I have to say to date this has been my absolute favourite. I really think that the atmosphere and the very helpful and friendly staff played a big role. It was the little things that made us feel special, for instance:We walked in through the side entrance by mistake and asked one of the staff for directions to the Collins Room, and they kindly took the time to walk us there personally and hand us over. Same goes for when I asked for directions to the loo, no pointing and muttering directions here, the staff would help you navigate your way around the beautiful building. The spanish gentleman who served us for the day was very funny, polite and had perfect attention to detail.Upon arrival at our table it was lovely to find little touches like a personalised name card waiting for us at the table, a little booklet describing the fashion inspiration behind the desserts and even a hand written birthday card as we were celebrating.I really enjoyed all the flavours of the sandwiches and we had to go for seconds for the salmon and chicken. The coffee was delicious and brewed at the table and the scent was mesmerising! And finally came the showstopper, the beautifully plated array of desserts inspired by Valentino, Isabel Marant, Versace, Moschino and so forth. It was not just a feast for the eyes as the flavours were divine too!A bite from Anna Wintours cookie face went well with the coffee, but my personal favourite was the purple ensemble with the beriolette jelly centre. They change the desserts and the designers with each season so I definitely I will be back for another intriguing afternoon.

If you can afford the congestion charge and parking fee, before you add the cost of afternoon tea, then you are in for a treat. It makes a change to have themed "fashion runway" design cakes, but be prepared to put on the calories, if you eat them all (which we did!)On the whole it made a pleasant change for the usual afternoon tea fare

I went at the Berkeley Hotel for the Pret a Portea Afternoon Tea to celebrate my husband's Birthday in August! The Experience was our best Experience ever! They made our Day! It was Magnificent! The Staff was remarkable! Everything was perfect from the atmosphere, the Staff, the food, teas and Champagne! They prepared for this occasion a special cake with candle and Happy Birthday in writing on the plate! My husband was so glad! The Berkeley Hotel is the Best Hotel in London but what made memorable this day was the World Class Customer service of Adriana and Antonella in particular! They are so nice and made us feel comfortable and special!Higlly recommended! We will definitely come back!

We visit this hotel for breakfast every year for our anniversary, and this year is our 30th. As usual we were treated with the utmost respect and the service was outstanding. Nothing to difficult for the staff, as the make us feel welcomed, even remembering who we were.We have stayed at the hotel before and here again, excellent.

I came here mainly for afternoon tea. This used to be Caramel Room. It has now changed to a full restaurant. It has a beautiful and charming room and ambiance. Professional service. The patisserie is beautifully prepared and presented. In fact, they are pieces of art. However, when it comes to taste they are average including the sandwiches which are even below average. Even the cakes have lost their wow effect. So it is form over substance. Large selection of teas. So, good to come once but would not crave it.
