We got married there in October 2021 and it was just a perfect day - the weather helped but it would've been amazing whatever the weather. They're perfectly set up for weddings, with the three rooms meaning you don't feel like you're cooped up in the same space all day.The venue is great, I mean just look at it, and the food is amazing, but what really makes it are the team of staff working tirelessly to make sure everything goes to plan and you, and your guests, have the best day possible.Covid meant that The Duke's Head was actually not our original wedding venue, but looking back now, we wouldn't want to have got married anywhere else.It was already our favourite pub in Putney, not it's our favourite for some even more special memories.

Burger was not bad, a little pink inside (Unlike raw steak but not burgers, there is a reason why minced meat needs to be well cooled). Cheese was really fat. But overall it was OK Maybe not £16-OK but OK.

we'd been a couple times again!Great local pub, friendly staff, excellent food, stunning views of the Thames, a great option for a full meal, or drinks with friends ^_^ can sit in, or take away and drink by the river!!this time I had the board special, slow cooked pork ribs, and aah... it was to die for! gorgeous! Well done The Dukes Head, very deserved four to five stars now!! ^_^ can't wait to be there again! x

Always like to call in for a pint when I'm in the area, especially on Fulham home games. Good selection of beer and friendly atmosphere perfectly positioned by the Thames. It's a good pub!!!

Great for a Sunday! Good if you're a meat eater otherwise the veggie Sunday roast is kinda bad

·

Good pub with a dining room overlooking the Thames. Usual Youngs drinks and menu.

Nice atmosphere, with a lot of original Victorian decor and an open fire, great position between the main road and the river. Haven't tried the food but was happy with a pint.

Popped down for a Sunday roast on the back of the high ratings on here. A lovely atmosphere, good facilities, but let down by the food and the response to my feedback. I ordered a vegetarian roast and received a paltry serving of food: three small potatoes, one small carrot, a table spoon of overcooked greens, and no Yorkshire pudding. When I pointed this out, a Yorkshire pudding duly arrived but I was told that the chef could not offer any more potatoes or vegetables. I felt sorry for the waiting staff having to relay this response to a customer. Completely overpriced for the experience.

Always love coming here. Great atmosphere, lovely staff that take pride in their work. The food is something special, not your usual pub menu. The space is beautifully decorated, and the views of the Thames are stunning. Young's group guarantees high quality service and food consistency.I'm not local to Putney, but whenever I'm in the area, I make a point to visit Duke's Head, it's a great go-to for a lunch with a friend, a casual date, a group gathering or drinks in the evening. Also, if you have a small-medium event coming up, check out their private hire Wolsey room, for which I have left a separate review.

Popped into this pub for a wedding anniversary lunch and didn't expect quite such a lovely setting inside. The service was really excellent and very accommodating when we asked to relocate to a seat by the window. When it came to the food this is where it all fell down. The food was overpriced for the quality. The burger and the pork were both overdone and absolutely nothing special about them at all. Both served with skinny fries that must have been from a frozen bag. For the price you really should be serving delicious home made chips. Overall value for money was very poor so wouldn't recommend.
