Went to a matinée of Royal Marines band show with my Daughter so booked lunch at the Elgar. Food was excellent, staff brilliant and so friendly and we were even able to have our deserts and drinks during the interval. The whole experience was exceptional, will certainly do the same on future occasions when we visit The Royal Albert Hall.

Starters were lovely, we all had the king prawn salad. Fish and chips were delicious but the slow cooked pork wasn't what we expected. It was just a piece of gammon that looked like it had been grilled. It was also ordered alongside some roasted new potatoes but chips were just put on the table and when we said it wasn't right they just said we'v run out of potatoes. It was all rather rushed and we didn't have time for a dessert.

Lovely spacious room, if a little cool. Wonderful red piano, centre stage. Booking required. A good set menu, 3 courses for £37. (Forgot to take pictures of the food, sorry).For a set menu, very nice, king prawn salad for starter, pork loin with stunning crispy chips, I had cheese to finish, my friend, creme brulee with shortbread. Discretionary 12.5% service charge and £2 help us get back on our feet donation. OK with that.Staff fairly attentive. Nice lunch before show. Would go again. ☺

Visited The Elgar Room Brasserie for lunch after watching an 11:30 performance in the Albert Hall with my wife and 2 sons. The brasserie is on one of the top floors at the theatre and when we walked in, it was great to come across such a spacious, well set out restaurant with a great, calm atmosphere.The food was excellent and I was spoilt for choice for my main course. The waiter for our table was Brayan and he was great guy. He was able to advise us on the menu and also had a great rapport with my son's too.I was expecting the brassiere to be good but exceeded my expectations and we'll be back for sure. Recommended.

Jazz festival week. The Elgar Room provides pure quality sound, nice intimate space for couples to go and chill and listen to quality music. The lighting and atmosphere is lovely. Well worth a visit.
