The Gable in City of London

Although our food was not up to standard and they had run out of sauces, Paige was fabulous and very attentive whilst running around seating people at tables. Overall a good bar but advise booking before you come on a Thursday.

Perfect place for a cheap after work drink. Not a place to take anyone you plan on impressing but a great happy hour. Plenty of seating and good menu!

Excellent pub with a wide range of spirits and beers on tap. I went for a Christmas meal and they were able to fit us in at relatively short notice. Food was excellent and staff were very friendly. Prices are expensive but it's a pub in this area of London so it's not exceptional. Pub was cold as they have front and back doors open in December, but I applaud them keeping the place ventilated in these covid times. Wasn't busy when we went but tables were well spaced.

Good atmosphere in the bar on a Friday night. However the staff were incredibly rude to both myself and multiple people who I was with. One guy in particular was rolling his eyes at us and making us feel bad simply for ordering drinks!

Went there for an event - meetup. The ground floor was very nice, spacious, drinks and food delicious, lovely and helpful staff. The venue was downstairs which was more cosy and a bit dark. Only drawback - music was too loud to my taste (as to be fair is in most pubs and bars) for a meetup like this. Otherwise - 5 stars!

Had an amazing time at the Gable. The guys in there were so nice and the service was excellent. I reserved some space for 6 and they sat me and my friends in lovely large booth. Great food, great tunes, great time 👍🏽

This bar is fantastic. We were treated with 5 star service from the staff. Very friendly and attentive to our group!Furthermore food was excellent!

First time visit & the staff were lovely with a nice pub setting/decor. Going to sound really old now but the music was too loud for a Tuesday after work. I shouldn't have to shout to speak to a friend when a large pub is half empty. Otherwise a nice place.

Incredibly bad service. We waited for 1h during lunchtime just to get drinks including tab water, and waited 1.5h to get food although the place wasn't even busy. We had to extend our lunch break because of that and were starving. And once it arrived, the food was cold. Some drinks were forgotten. We also could not pay since the whole system was off, taking up more of our time. Worst experience.

Attended a birthday bash here and it was fab. Great venue and staff. Food was great and the bar is spacious and can accommodate a good number of people. There's a dance floor downstairs with a bar. DJ sets up in red telephone boxes! Loved the place as did many other people.
