A beautiful old pub with a great selection of craft beer on tap and 3 real ale pumps with Amazing ale. The pub is very clean and professional bar staff who always smile and go out of the way to make you feel welcome. Great customer service and the food is of the highest quality. The pup has only been open for 8 weeks so the food menu is limited until march when the upstairs restaurant will open for a more comprehensive menu. Great atmosphere for lunchtime, I have yet to go there in the evening so I can't comment for now. Give this place a try.

First time back in many years. Table service (Feb 2022) very good, attentive staff and decent Guinness. Very popular, so we were lucky to get a table at 5pm on a Thursday. Worth visiting

Had a cracking night at The George. Booked a table online and got upgraded to The Snug! Service and food throughout the evening was superb. The staff couldn't do enough to ensure we were royally looked after. Highly recommended.

Newly refurbished, but made to look like an old school pub with lovely dark wood and very attentive staff. Felt like stepping back in time. Went on a Thursday, and it was busy, but post covid (?!) that's no bad thing...

This beautiful pub ticks all the boxes! It's stunning inside and out - lovely etched glass windows, and wonderful private room. The staff were 1st rate and the prices were lower than most London pubs. I haven't tried the food, yet, but what i saw looked amazing.

Very nice local on Fitzrovia's border. A historic Great Portland Street pub that's well worth a visit.

A stunningly well crafted bar and cocktail menu. Bar food also delicious, especially the black pudding scotch egg. Ambience is a perfect balance of Fitzrovia chic and a good ol' fashioned London boozer. Something for everyone.

Really friendly and welcoming staff. Only came in for a pint ended up having some food ( which was awesome) and 4 pints. The atmosphere and the staff here is what makes it.

Had lunch here today with my son Daniel who works nearby. He told me The George had recently re-opened and had heard good things or maybe there's a new chef, a proper one. I don't knowHe had heard right though about the very high quality.Beautiful old pub with original fittings in great condition; well, they look original anywayFabulous lunch and very warm and professional welcome from staff all dressed in clean white; very smart, look greatScotch eggs in black pudding; the best ever!Hamburger and chips were of a very high quality; in so many pubs they are nothing special, at all, but here absolutely spot on; delicious chips and proper quality meat burger. My son is more adventurous (and was not paying) and so went for venison pie; he loved it.Rhubarb crumble; I shouldn't, but so glad I did.We were lucky enough to be served by Clara, the friendliest and most efficient waitress in London (I know I'm supposed to say waiter or server, but I can't bring myself to do it, sorry)And one more thing, which is important for me but most people don't care or even notice:nice solid cutlery and proper linen napkins, not horrible tissuesVery reasonable price for such wonderful fare and serviceHighly recommended

Wow! What an amazing pub! The decor is incredible, only tried the chips from a friend's plate but were amazing along with the fresh beer. The General Manager (Conner I think) was very welcoming along with all the other staff after I stole someone's table he dealt with it with nothing but compassion and professionalism. I think this will become my new local!!
