Had dinner there on Wednesday evening with a couple of friends. Very nice service and the bar staff were really helpful - especially Gabby who made sure our food order was perfect.

Great cosy pub on the strand. Always a welcoming environment and very competitively priced for that part of town. It's possible to reserve tables in certain cases, and they also offer food but I haven't tried that yet so can't comment.

Probably the best Sunday roasts in London!Choose a Sunday roast in the upstairs dinning room, food was beautifully presented, all fresh ingredients and tasted fantastic! Credit to the chefs! The staff are amazing hosts, looking forward to returning and trying other things on the menu in this beautifully quaint and charming pub!

Nice pub, friendly staff and the food was good, popped in for a late lunch with visiting family and we had a good meal and a good selection of beers and ales.

Visited Wednesday lunchtime, My friend and I called in to have a quick snack and drink each. We were greeted my a very annoying barman!! He was so pushy telling us what we wanted although we hadn’t even looked at the menu yet. We just wanted to look at the menu in peace to evidence for ourselves. I ordered at the bar and then couldn’t wait to get away from him and paid, he didn’t give me a receipt. After thinking about what I was charged, for mushrooms on toast, a sandwich, 1glass of wine and a vodka and coke, I looked on the website to check the menu prices and realised I’d also been charged 12.5% service charge!!! I think we were extremely overcharged by a very very annoying barman.

Not much to add apart from the very good quality service here. Large range of real ales. Definitely returning. M

Nice old style oak pub close to the royal courts of justice.

Nice pub. Opposite the Royal courts. It had a nice historic exterior.I recall the pints were fairly expensive which is in line for many of the pubs in this area. We did not have food here on this occasion.I would definitely stop by if in the area or on a Fleet street pub crawl, it’s a lovely pub🍻

I went here on a busy Saturday night, unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to staff shortages but the bar staff made sure to accommodate us for our booking. The food was lovely and I enjoyed every bite, the staff were attentive and checked in on us a few times. The reason for the 3 stars is my friend has celiac disease (gluten allergy) and when we asked we were assured that the meal she had chosen was fully gluten free, unfortunately a few hours later she became very ill so we can only assume there was indeed gluten in her meal and she had to go home early in the night. It's likely just some miscommunication between the kitchen and the front of house staff but I hope some training is done and some more gluten free options are added to the menu.
