The location was everything we could have imagined, enough tables to fill the room but not overcrowd it, very professional and polite staff and afternoon tea was delicious and not rushed at all. We certainly left with a great memory, and not forgetting the doorman who walked off for us and came back with a Cab so we could return to our Hotel. Thank you Goring! you made Afternoon Tea for my Canadian fiancée a memory she will never forget.

We actually had dinner there. The bar has to be one of the nicest places in London. Be amazed at the curtains, but why is there a fake painting of Napoleon over the fireplace? Staff are wonderfully polite and suitably deferential, given that the place isn't cheap. Food is excellent with a few surprises like amuses bouches which look like desserts. Wine list is extensive for those with deep pockets.

I have been to the Goring many times, the bfast, cocktails summer evenings always a lovely experience.This last weekend we went for the afternoon tea with another couple who were visiting and Thankfully it was not the only thing we planned while they were in London.The Service to start was absolutely horrid, the tea sandwiches they came they dropped it off and that was it, I had to ask twice for tea refill.... The actual sandwiches left something to be desired and when we asked for more sandwiches it took me twice to ask to get them. The filling was bland one of the worst Goring experiences ever and for £70/each to be treated so badly it was just appauling.If you're interested in a proper and complete experience please go to the Ritz they have never disappointed. The service is ALWAYS top of the game in every experience, from the moment you walk in to the moment you check out. I cannot say that for the Goring after today. It was a total embarrassment.The only reason I am.giving it 2 it is because the Doormen are always Fab!

Fantastic and cozy restaurant with closing green field environment. Nice service and quality food. All desserts of 3 layers were excellent. Tea were great as well. A recommended place to have afternoon in London.

The ambience and the quality of the high tea based on their desserts are exquisite! Not just gourmet but it was a work of art. The service was excellent! And my overall expectations were met. They also have a lovely garden and outdoor seating.
