Good cocktails and lovely food. Nice atmosphere in a lovely building, though it was so loud I could barely hear my friends talk across the table. Excellent service.

Light Bar is most definitely a bar first, restaurant second. You'll have to battle through drinkers on the ground floor, up two flights of stairs in order to get to the dining area. We were one of just four tables at the time we arrived, however the waitstaff were still miscommucating. We were asked twice what water we would like, we ordered sparkling and received still - a bit confusing. The food is good but nothing special - again, the waitstaff could have advised that the mains really required a side to make it substantial (we had the stone bass which was actually just the fillet with a garnish, no potatoes etc). If you need to use the toilet, you have to venture back downstairs and fight through bankers spilling their pints before you'll get there. So overall, there's been a complete lack of thought towards the diners experience at Light Bar, which has left me disappointed and definitely not recommending it to others. Go for a drink, definitely not to eat.

We were greeted by an absolutely packed bar downstairs but were escorted up to the top floor dining room by very attentive staff. The dining room is isolated from the rest of the restaurant without losing any of its ambience. A special mention should go to the staff, who were very attentive and helpful throughout. The food was delicious. The baked-on-site sweet potato bread was a particular highlight. I enjoyed the fish while my partner had the crab pasta. The chocolate pudding was perfect, I only wish there was more of it!We left by no means hungry, but certainly not full. After 2 courses, perhaps we'd have expected a little more food than what we got as the portions were on the smaller side. This is the only issue holding back my fifth star. The bill came to just shy of £100 for bread between us, two mains, one side, two deserts, and a carafe of wine, and a service charge. 2 diners.

Would not go back here again, as the attitude of the door staff was one of indifference and we we made not too feel welcome. After asking for table, we were directed towards the upper two areas, where we were told we get a drink and bee served. When we arrived in the area to find it was closed. Not sure why we were directed there, was it our age (we are all over 50)or was it because they did not like the look of us. We surely will never know, but being treated in that way we and feeling unwelcome I certainly would not go back there!

The rib eye is so good that I could order another one if not filled up with the Sweet Potato Wellington. My wife used to order well-done steak and this is the first time she did not complaint us to have a medium rare rib eye.The staff is nice and friendly. It was a good dining experiences.

I had the pan fried gnocchi with squash and sage and it was one of the nicest things I've ever eaten! All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great. Will definitely visit again!

Best Sunday roast in town.Great band and atmosphere.Excellent drinks, beer selection, non-alcoholic cocktails.Fantastic friendly staff.Faultless to be honest! One of the best openings of 2021

Good mood. Quality drinks and price was quite rational. Staff was nice. Music was below average and please please buy better speakers or consult someone. They sounded like they were full volume, full treble, struggling.

Not a huge fan. Food was very average - the menu is a strange collection from capeletti to beef buns. Thought food was generally bland and drinks overhyped. It was lively though and the venue is picturesque.Service was also on the intense end of the spectrum - they emphasized multiple times that we only had the table for 2 hours and constantly came to check if we wanted to order and when we ordered, if we wanted to order anything else. On the plus side, food came quickly.

A must go to place for great food, excellent service, and amazing cocktails. (You've got to try the "Light Negroni", there's no way you won't like it.)We went here on opening night, and even though the outdoor area was buzzing with people, the service was on point and I can't recommend enough.I visited back again on a Wednesday after for Lunch, and tried the Beef Bun, with fermented chocolate BBQ sauce. You read that right, Chocolate BBQ sauce. 10/10, I'd eat that again. If you're looking for a go to Bar, this place will not disappoint. Safe to say I'll definitely be coming back here every other day!Shout-out to Julian, and the rest of the staff for being super welcoming.
