The Marlborough Head in City of London

This is a pub that needs a makeover - it’s looking rather shabby now. My phillly steak sandwich was very nice, my daughter’s fish and chips was good but sadly my husband’s fish and chips was very dry and over cooked. Have been here before but probably won’t go back again now.

Great service by all the waiters, excellent food and very well servrd Jack n' Coke. The place is very nice and lively on the ground floor and the sitting area downstairs has a quite cozy atmosphere.Cabeza 'e Marlboro pa'lante!

Really decent pub with nice drinks and well priced food. The amount of chicken wings you get for the price is quite wow factor and they are nice too! We didn't get to finish ours, and they were glad to provide us with a box to go.

Fab pub, came in with my partner for a late lunch and had the Katsu burger which was amazing. Staff are super friendly also 😊.

Member of staff wouldn't answer a simple question regarding children food. Might be great for a pint with mates but I had 3 small children with me. Very rude. Toilets downstairs were disgusting too. Had street food instead which was awesome

+1 star for nice interiorService was terrible, waited 10 minutes to get table cleaned.Got our orders wrong on both kitchen and bar.Onion rings rare, staff don't know what's on menu.Perfect pub if you like it cheap and don't care about quality.

I went for a beer with a friend whilst walking up Oxford Street, the team were very friendly and happy to let us taste the IPA, which was clean and could tell they cleaned their lines regularly. The only real shock was to find the 2 pinta of 3.8% ale was £13.30! Didn't think Greene king had upped their prices that much, which is why I'm not too pleased with the experience. Solid pub no doubt.

The chicken pie was good. The crust was light, layered pastry, which is not my favorite for a meat pie, but it was OK. I really liked the chicken stew on the inside.I didn't like the mashed potatoes. They were thick, dry, and chewy. The gravy was good and that helped make the mash edible.I didn't like the side of peas, carrots and green beans. They tasted just like they came out of a cheap bag of frozen vegetables that was under cooked and sat out too long.I had apple pie for dessert and it was not good at all. I couldn't finish it.

Had not the greatest of visits to Marlborough Head (Greene King Pub). The staff were average but friendly. However, the drinks service was lacking. The beer we requested was out of stock and no one said anything till after we ordered.Also, after ordering 2 drinks they arrived, half split on the table in terribly chipped glasses! Nice place for a quick bite. Had refreshing non alcoholic cider, chicken tikka which came in 5 minutes which I think was microwaved but still good and a salad. Have no complaints except at the rush hour people hover around you till you get up. Nice and attentive staff.
