I visited for lunch with friends. The experience was really excellent from start to finish. Booking online was a breeze and I was pleased to see that my request for a booth was successfully dealt with. All the staff we engaged with during the visit were super helpful and very friendly. Ordering was swift and completely accurate. Drinks were spot on - great pint of IPA. We were all extremely pleased with our food orders both in presentation and taste.I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I'll definitely be visiting again. To top the experience off the surroundings are magnificent. A beautiful building full of history and amazing architecture.

This must be one of the most imposing pubs in London, so much so that I wondered from the outside if it was a private members’ club or grand hotel. Once inside the welcome is friendly and the interior is beautiful.I’m not a fan of McMullen ales but there are plenty of other options. Lovely seating areas both downstairs and on the balcony. And to top it all they have a Routemaster bus on the rear terrace!A must-see pub if you’re visiting the Royal Courts of Justice or studying the history of the Knights Templar.

Oh my goodness what a beautiful venue! The food also showed great attention to detail. Staff lovely. I think the most attractive pub I've been to in London, you have to check it out!

Terrific place in good tourist location near temple church and royal courts of justice, with plenty of seating including an upstairs area and garden with red London double decker bus. Lots of beers, wines and spirits on offer with very good food and excellent service. Would definitely return when next in the city. It was constructed on a corner site in 1886 by Sir Arthur Blomfield in a grand Italianate style, the interior having three large chandeliers with a detailed plaster ceiling. It is a Grade II listed building. The vaults beneath the pub once contained gold bullion, and are said to have held the Crown Jewels for a period as well. The nearest subway station is Temple. The pub is situated between chancery lane and temple station.

Have been visiting this pub for the last 21 year. Great atmosphere, good food and drinks. One of our favourite places to meet up with friends and colleagues.

Amazing grand decor, a former bank. Tables can be booked. Delicious homemade pies on the menu. Good veggie options. Really cute garden area with a bus bar! Can’t wait to come back.

This is definitely a pub to stop by at if in the area. We had a few pints and fish and chips - both were excellent. The main feature here is the building, exquisite detailing inside. Also in the back there a whole double decker bus! Awesome.I would recommend a visit here!I took many photos - see attached!

A true historical moment. Loved it. The atmosphere inside or outside is a real pleasure and change. It pushes you across time and you can almost see a banker with his gold bag walking across (after few drinks)A shame that it is closing early, even on Saturday and food is stopped to be served at 7pm.Otherwise, go for it, it's a must do.

Great pub, good options for drinks and food, and the perfect spot on Fleet Street. Beautiful architecture, artful design and decorating, and good service. Got here at 5:30pm and it was definitely an after-work spot with folks in blazers, suits, dresses, and the like. That said, come dressed in a collared shirt or something nicer than a t-shirt and you'll feel just fine.Loved it, will definitely be back!
