Great people but food is far too expensive. Sandwich was £10!!!

A great "hidden" location in the heart of The City. Under an arch on a small side street, close to The Gherkin and The Cheesegrater. Great service and helpful information from behind the bar. This is a surprisingly large venue with two bars and a courtyard at street level along with the Darts Club (and loos) downstairs via a staircase by the entrance. A great place to meet for a beer and hatch a plot or two, it's that kind of a place, really delightful.

The old tea House has a good choice of beers and there are all well kept. There is some covered outdoor space in the courtyard with heaters for those that like to be outside or smoke. There is also a Darts club downstairs. Even when the pub is crowded, the service is reasonably quick and always friendly.

In the heart of the Insurance world but slightly tucked away, this pub offers lots of options.The ground floor area has two (or three?) rooms - all wood panelling. Downstairs is a bar to hire, complete with pool tables and darts. Outside is a courtyard area - a good proportion covered and with heaters.Good selection of ales, craft beers etc too.

Come here quite often. Always great food. Decent selection of lagers and ales. Scotch eggs and sausage rolls are awesome!! To place to eat!!
