The Pheasant Restaurant and Public House in City of London

I'm not overly generous with 5 star reviews but I couldn't think of a reason not to give this place full credit.Came here with a colleague who talked all week about it before our flight home the last day. It definitely lived up to her praise. The place was busy and lively, though we easily grabbed a spot to spend the evening.Lots of different beer on tap which I appreciate, and you have to order food at the food counter (not the bar). Food comes out relatively quick and massive in portion size - a common comment in reviews.Overall, a pretty solid experience. The only problem is you have to be by Heathrow to check it out!

We gave this place a visit on a Sunday evening, unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open but the pub itself was.It was busy but they found us a high table in the gazebo section. The high chairs were wobbly and really quite uncomfortable so we moved, however because of the storm going on outside the gazebo was flapping around and water leaking from the roof! Not their fault as the storm was pretty bad and they did find us a table inside the pub after a bit. Really friendly staff 👌🏼The food itself was good, for the money portion size is very good - ideal if you’re a big eater. I had a homemade steak & ale pie, the other half had a lasagne. She ended up not being able to sleep properly that night as she was just too full up!!I was fine, however.The only real this I can knock it on was the state of the mens toilets. Urine everywhere!! Maybe it was a one off, but I’d of been better off in flippers 🤦‍♂️🤣Overall though a decent place to eat. Hopefully get to try the restaurant next time.

Wonderful place for get-together and food. Food is amazingly delicious and well seasoned. Service is first class as well.You can choose from their restaurant or pub menu. Slightly on the pricier side but definitely worth it!

Absolutely wonderful comfort food, all freshly cooked. We had steak & ale pie & Cumberland sausages. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Didn't have a booking but they found us a table anyway, very accommodating. Food was unbelievable, reasonably priced and portions were huge. Wish we lived closer as we would be regulars...met the pub cat too!...he was ace!

The most enormous chicken & mushroom pie you've ever seen, more like family size. Served with a huge portion of big chips and very good green salad (my choice as I don't like steamed veg). Very hospitable host and soft Christmas music playing the in background. Certainly a place I'll be coming back to.

Service was great, fast and friendly. Good place to go drink, good beer selection in bar. Food was ok, they have large portions but lower quality.

Visited this excellent public house a few times during a stay nearby, it gets very busy so booking a table may be advisable.. Onto the food I tried, Chili burger, salad and curly fries was amazing and a super size portion, which was way too much for me. My favourite meal here was the Sea bass, vegetables and potatoes, again pretty large size, the fish was cooked to perfection and an absolute treat. The service from the staff, especially the head guy was superb and you can see why they're so busy. Essential if nearby, great pub!!!

My friends local to the area told us of this spot and it was great. Food was good, ample portions and a plethora of options from which to choose for both drink and food. I went with the vegetarian squash and lentil parcel which was a bit disappointing as it was the smallest item in terms of portion on the menu. It was good just wish there was more of it

Wow! I am so glad that a friend of mine told me about this place. This was hands down the best meal that I had in England. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Lots of beers to choose from. Don't worry about the line to order, it is so worth the wait! Just get a pint and study the menu as there are so many delicious options to choose from. I don't think that you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Can't wait for my next trip. If you are anywhere near LHR, you must come here!
