The Potting Shed Restaurant & Bar in City of London

The setting for this restaurant is fantastic. The atmosphere is great and often there is a man playing the guitar. However, the food was slightly less great. Our meals lacked in flavour and the choice was quite poor. I wouldn’t get the shellfish stew - it was very liquidy and didn’t really have anything to it. The fish and chips was probably the best option!

What I love most about it is that it's so quiet. The breakfast menu has all you need to feel alive the morning after 😊 Highly recommend.

Came here for a birthday celebration. This restaurant is in the basement but with limited natural light the management have done a good job without making this small cosy restaurant dark.The non-alchoholic drinks were very refreshing. The 3 course set menu provides extemely good value for such a fine dining venue. Homemade fresh and hot bread is served before the starter. All portions were generous but the icing on the cake has to the sticky toffee pudding - simply delicious!By the end of the meal we all left happy and with very full belly.

Lovely little restaurant hidden away. There are steps to get down to the restaurant. We only found it by chance. Has an old boys public school sports & cricket theme.Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Good hospitality and service.The food was very tasty. To start, we had asparagus and courgette soup and smoked haddock & corguette carpacio.followed by flavoursome glazed pork with potatoes and a delicious brulee type lemon tart and the best Eaton mess.

Went for the set menu, and it’s really good value. Great cosy restaurant under a hotel. Slight let down was service isn’t as attentive and I found the squid a little fishy. Ask for the set menu, as it’s really good value compared to the ala crate.

Lovely meal here and such a cute, quaint vibe to this restaurant. Although small, this place has a great little atmosphere and is perfect for breakfasts, brunches or lunches with friends. Food was delicious as well and it was a great location that was close and central.

After careful searching for a best place to have na afternoon tea for a normal price, found this place. Food was amazing and the atmosphere too - very happy!

Very tasty breakfast as a bit high price (about £50 for two with basic breakfast meals)

The place has an interesting design. We had 2 course set menu before going to the theatre. Portions are on a smaller side and when you order your main I would recommend two side dishes. The waiters are very helpful and looked after us really well. We wanted to come back here again. Decent margaritas as well and I am very picky about how my margarita is made. Shame we had to rush. As we would like to stay there longer. Definitely recommend.
