The Punch Bowl in City of London

Great little pub tucked away in a quiet corner of Mayfair. Great buzz, nice people (staff and clients) Good beer, good food, great atmosphere in traditional surroundings in one of the oldest pubs in Mayfair.

Popped in for drinks on a friend's birthday. Stayed a while longer than intended as the atmosphere and fellow customers were great!! We had a lovely time and the staff were friendly, helpful and great at what they do!!

This is a typical London boozer a non pretentious pub owned by the film directir Guy Richie. A great place to visit just around the corner from Scotts and the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. Had a good pub menu with pub food classics.

Im so shocked… i went with my french boyfriend and a friend who was told in his hotel, the Hilton park lane, to come here. We walked in and the security at the doors told us what we wanted we said we would like to have some drinks and eat, he said it was only bookings, I said can we book by phone now and then get in? He said something I didn’t understand so I repeated what i said, he said “you don’t understand what im saying?” I said no sorry I didn’t understand, he said “i have the bookings list here and after 9pm you can’t make a booking, look the chef is now walking down, what do you think?” So I said he is being a bit rude and he said that’s my job! I said okay I will complain and he started to tell me that his country was abused a lot by french people I told him Im not french and I left. My boyfriend was shocked as he is french. I couldn’t believe it. Definitely never going back!!!! And I will not recommend it at all!

Amazing atmosphere, gourmet style pub food. If you are lucky you might even see some celebrities. Amazing for a romantic evening.

A good pint, exactly what pubs are for! With a visit, I’ll be back!

Cozy traditional old English pub, with good variety of beers (haven’t tried the food) . I think mostly famous cause it was ownered by Guy Ritchie

Several months ago I booked a table in advance for 17 people celebrating a 15 year reunion in early October 2021.It was great to be offered a table in a private room with access to the kitchen. Unfortunately the service was non-existent by the time we figured that out we organised ourselves to order food. We were told after selecting our choices that most of what we wanted was unavailable. In actual fact nothing we wanted was actually available. We were given plenty of fries and a few burgers to share amoungst ourselves 3 hours after ordering our food. Needless to say we were appalled by the entire Punchbowl experience and attitude of kitchen staff. Poor Victoria was certainly out of her depth but the only somewhat responsive member of staff. Wish the pub was open and honest upfront we could have organised ourselves to go elsewhere ....We got an apology from Danny, but frankly I certainly did not feel appeased by it and won't be recommending The Punchbowl for any future gatherings

Went to the private dining room to celebrate a friend's birthday, and whilst the guys did the best they could, especially Vicky (solid service), a number of our orders were missed and the food was terrible overall. The private dining room itself was good.

The Punchbowl is a nice cozy spot for drinks, happy hour or a nice cozy dinner. All of the dishes are very tasty. My favorite dish was the fish and chips here and you get a very generous portions. I would make a reservation if you have a big group for dinner.
