The Spice Of Life in City of London

I can't even count how many times I've walked by this place and brushed it off as touristy. It couldn't be more centrally located in a spot that screams rip me off.I'm happy to say that after being taken here by colleagues (out of sheer laziness), I couldn't be more wrong.Prices are standard for the area, and while that isn't cheap they certainly weren't expensive. I had a fairly typical pub meal that I found tasty and worth decent value.Overall, as a spot that's on one of the main roads of London's West End, it could've been way worse in quality and price. I may even go again!

Great pub and music venue. Saw 5 acts last night, they were all good. Particularly liked the first band. Will definitely be going back.

Nice pub , good atmosphere with decent a fast ordering at the bar. Handy spot mid week for a cheeky drink and chat

Good vibe and quick service. Hosts the 6 nations on a few tvs. Havent tried the food but there is a decent selection if alcohol and beers

Nice vibes and very comfy pub right next to the Harry Potter theatre! Went on a Wednesday evening so it was quiet, which was nice as we just wanted to have some food. We enjoyed a burger offer with chips and a drink for 12.95 (or something similar). Everything was very good :)

Fine as a pub and generally has room despite being centrally located. However, they advertise themselves as having a 'cocktail bar' upstairs, but were unable to (and refused to) make an amaretto sour at either bar. They also have a live music space downstairs but do not make it clear beforehand that sitting in this space will be paying. So we were displaced after having sat down and ordered several drinks.

Bit surprised that there was no Country beer on as thisis one of Mcmullens core ales.Footwarmer was a more than adequate replacement however although it would be too strong to be considered a session beer.Staff were pleasant and efficient and there was a good atmosphere about the place.Expensive as you can imagine but in line with other pubs hereabouts.

Busy place Friday late afternoon. We had beer, nachos and duck croquettes. Nachos were different from anywhere else and really good. The waiters were all very kind and checked on us several times.

I was DJing for the bar in the evening on the 23rd October for a private party and the buffet food was brilliant. I wanted to make a special mention to the bar staff though who went above and beyond to help me with all my equipment. They were all due to finish but saw I was struggling and assisted withe everything so I could get off as quickly as possible. Big thumbs up guys!

Great pub foods, good location, lots of beer selections. A great place to chill out and hang out with friends, they have plenty of seats both indoor and outdoor. I like that for chips & fries alone they have up to 4 options.
