The Sterling in City of London

What a disappointment we had a family Sunday Lunch and compared to other premium London Restaurants this would not ever get on the score sheet, the food bland and cold with no finesse at all it has the distinct feel of a departmental store cafeteria for similar cost go to the Savoy Grill

I’ve been booking twice at The Sterling for my team to after work drinks.It’s been such an easy call to book there considering the team management, their wholesomeness and warm greetingsI’ve been dealing with a lady named Selma who was a pleasure to meet and more than helpful during our party.Can’t recommend better bar. Thanks to the whole staff.Looking forward to bringing friends and my managing agents again

The sterling is located on the ground floor of the Gherkin which is an amazing place to be, especially at night! The staff was lovely and friendly.On top of that, prices are fair and the vibe is great! I highly recommend :)

Well what can I say.. went there for our Christmas party it was all fun and games until it came to food… the Christmas menu wasn’t great so I ordered off the Menu. Ribeye and sweet potato fries my go to. My colleagues had the Christmas menu which was missing stuffing for the Christmas dinner plate and cranberry sauce. It’s not Christmas dinner without cranberry or stuff. When my ribeye finally came it was undercooked ( I always have my steak Well done) sent it back to the kitchen and it comes back 45 minutes later when we here leaving 🤦🏽‍♀️ for a city restaurant not great

I tried the Christmas menu which was really good. I must say the food was on point and I finished it all! It may be a little pricy but given location, I suspect it’s in line. Lacked a little salt but overall I’d go there for the meal again and friendly staff.

Went for Christmas lunch. Staff very friendly and managed our table of 10 well. Food arrived quickly and together. Small portions for each of the 3 courses. Sadly cannot give five stars for price of xmas menu and portion size. Location is perfect and good selection of drinks.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I went here for a work Christmas dinner. On arrival we got sat at a very small table even though it wasn’t busy. We got the Christmas menu and portion size was adequate. Cant say it’s the best food I’ve had but also wasn’t the worse. I would probably come here for drinks as we saw a couple of drinks table who seemed to be having the time of their lives.

Had an amazing time for a birthday celebration there . We had a large group on the terrace and they manage to make a beautiful seating area due to covid restrictions. Thanks to Lorene and the lovely team for looking after us. Everything went smoothly until the end of the party. ( + food was very tasty )

Staff really nice. Was in there last night for leaving do. Waitress was lovely. We work over the road from here and have made it our local

The Sterling based on the ground floor of The Gherkin building is a trendy bar with two floors. The ground floor is a general public access bar which serves cocktails, beer, wine, spirits. They also serve food.Upstairs there is a much smaller space which can be used for private hire such as drinks and canapes reception.Canapes were good and staff lovely.
