The Thornbury Castle in City of London

Nice boozer but the ale was awful. I had something from Wadworths. I can't even remember it. Top prices paid here too and the young girls at the bar didn't have a clue. 29th March we were in, around 22:30. Badly in need of supervision for those two.

Lovely in every aspect; such a pretty, comfortable interior, attentive and exceptionally nice staff, good music, fantastic beer. Really wonderful place.

An great pub recently taken over by an amazing team. The food is super tasty, from tapas dishes and specials during the week to a bl😋😋dy great sunday roast dinner! I've been here a couple of times, and It'll become an extension of my living room.

We were in this pub Saturday afternoon. It was empty but this is what I personally loved. The interia is perfect for a nice drink out

Oh how I laughed when I found out the obnoxious landlord had been turfed out of the pub by the freeholder. As they say revenge is a dish best served cold and I can only hope that this experience will teach him some humility, although I doubt he will take any learnings from it.I have high hopes the pub can now be turned into a welcoming place without the bizarre rules regarding food/drinks/cards and terrible attitudes displayed by staff, in particular the landlord who takes the “lord” part of the word landlord a bit too literally.I look forward to frequenting once the new operating are in situ. It’s is always darkest before the dawn.

Excellent atmosphere and great service. Family run pub. Great selection of real ales, ciders and spirits.Bonus is the added Thai food options.For the price absolutely bargain. Portions bigger than mainstream restaurants.Pub is only open Monday to Friday.But still worth a visit. Highly recommend trying here at least once.

The overall experience is not that bad, but it’s not a pub that I would recommend. Staff is not quite friendly and the food seems to come more from a catering then a pub kitchen. From the Thai menu, try the duck spring rolls.
