The White Horse - Appold Street in City of London

A bit pricey but it was a good burger, the burger sauce tasted like big mac sauce. Good chips and good service. Bonus points for having the sense not to put tomato in a burger!

Great place for after work drinks! The food was very disappointing tasting dry and like it had just come out of the freezer but otherwise good bar.

Really good atmosphere for a catch up with friends, cosy and friendly. Amazing staff and the best chips i’ve ever had!!

Recently spent an evening at The White Horse, well what was supposed to be an afternoon but we were having such a lovely time we decided to stay on into the evening.First let me start by saying the decor and atmosphere of The White Horse will win you over the moment you step foot inside the pub, it’s warm and welcoming charm paired with the friendly and helpful staff make it an immediate 10/10.Throughout our time our group was looked after by a few staff members, who were all professional and prompt, one in particular who I’d like to say a personal thank you to was a man named Nico, he was extremely attentive and ensured every single need of ours was met (especially mine as I am the fussy eater/drinker and he catered for all my needs so thank you Nico!)We ate, we drank, we laughed & we didn’t have to spend an arm and a leg (so if you’re after a lovely time with delicious food but don’t want to spend your house deposit this is a great choice)I’ll end by saying we will absolutely be back and I recommend putting this place on your “must go” list.

Great pub, with a nice selection of wines and beer. Food is very good too. Great location, just behind Liverpool Street, with a nice big plaza next to it with a screen if you want to watch tennis in the summer. They've also redecorated recently and it's looking great!

Both Proper Job and Youngs pale ales, vinegary and off. Youngs tasted weak and of detergent! Barman seems to be out of touch. Didn't stay long. Hope things improve?

Nit what it says on the tin. Our food arrived without the vegetable. However they gave us a drink which was nice.The pie was off and gravy in the pie was the consistency of toffee. Gross. The burger was nice the bun had a soggy bottom. I wouldn't eat there again. Shames it's a nice location.
