The Yard in City of London

Used to love coming here, they have put their beer prices up to an astronomical level. i do not expect to pay over £7 for a basic beer. yes you've been affected by covid but so have we. Other bars in the area haven't put their prices up.

Awful customer service.... Paid 50£ drinks and was with a friend. Asked for a glass of water when waitress made eye contact while dancing and ended up with a 5£ SPARKLING WATER FROM TAP WITH ADDED GAZ... When I dared mentioned there was a misunderstanding she took it away to throw it in the sink... and left ! Had to call her back for a regular glass of water which she half spilled on the counter and this time NO ICE NO LEMON WEDGE AND NO STRAW but DIRTY LOOKS ! Thank you so much young chubby girl from the bar upstairs... Complained to her about her un professionalism and all she could think of is CALL SECURITY ! She thought I did not see what was happening when that guy dressed in black was listening to her rant.... I then decided to let know all the people I was dancing, talking and enjoying with that I WAS LEAVING AND WHY... She didn't like that... She really asked the guy to bounce me !? He did not really believe her and he saw with his own eyes that NOTHING was wrong with my attitude.... I decided to go to him and have a confirmation of what I thought was happening. He told me " she is my best staff, don't shout at my staff ". I told him I was happy he didn't listen to her and decided not to throw me out but I was not willing to spend a penny more un that place and I was leaving ANYWAY... So did my friend of course but also other guys we were dancing with and with whom we had a blast on the dance floor... WHAT A SHAME AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !

Ridiculously high drink prices (£7 for some beers!) bar staff can also be slow and rude, used to be a nice atmosphere but seems new management and latino bar staff have ruined it with their poor attitudes also sometimes more more straight people inside than LGBT in what used to be a predominantly gay venue

A great location for Chilling & Drinks!A lovely Gay bar, all types of people are welcome here too!Friendly wonderful people and workers, a bundle of joy literally. You guys want great vibes come down here!They have 2 floors , 2 bars , 1 terrace and many seating areas from indoors to outdoors.No entry feeReasonable prices not too experience nor too cheap , it's just right.Recommended to all party/chill goers and especially smokers, lots of outdoor place and ash trays to smoke.

Had an incredibly fun evening here with friends! Can get a bit busy at the bar but not an issue! Music selection was fun and ambience was great! Drinks are reasonable for London standards not the cheapest but expected.Will be back!

Very good vibe and good music but the prices are high. Please clean the toilets, the smell was disgusting! 🤢

Fantastic place. I wanted a quiet bar I could sit and have a beer and a smoke for an hour alone and this was perfect. Super friendly staff and customers. Will be back next time I’m in the area.

The beer and atmosphere is great,but staff is cheating when you buying beer from the bar! They adding gratuity without your knowledge. Not nice.

What can I say? Outdoors. Sunshine. Booze. Music. Lovely staff. Any opportunity, I'd happily sit at this bar for a drink with friends.
