Thistle Royal Trafalgar in City of London

The rooms where very clean and staff friendly we stayed there to go to see a show it was just around the corner to the theatre I would recommend it as the hotel is where everything is near.

Excellent location and staff!The room is great! Comfortable bed and decent bathroom.But a few things bothered me though.First, the housekeeping service left a little to be desired.Second, my room (if not all of them) had really bad soundproofing, i don’t know if it’s in all of them, but it was really annoying in mine. It was a really loud door banging sound coming from everywhere, probably from others floors. This happened all the time at night, and early in the morning.Third, and last, is that i really missed a frigobar and water bottles in my room. Again, i don’t know if all the rooms don’t have a frigobar, but, for the price i paid, i was expecting more.Overall, decent hotel if you’re staying less than 7 days.3/5

Had a lovely stay here , the staff were lovely in all areas of the hotel. The room was spotless and the bed was large and very comfortable. For the price paid and the excellent location I don't know what more you could ask for I'd definitely stay again.

The front entrance is down what resembles a back street but once inside you're greeted with a nice clean reception area with friendly and helpful staff.My room was on the 6th floor , the elevator was fast and there was no waiting on it or in it.The room was nice although the view from the window was what looked like another hotel or flats. Clean room, large TV mounted to the wall. Largr walk in shower with over head and hand held jets.The bed was very firm and the pillows were a bit too hard for my tastes however I got a great night sleep.Checkout process was ok, I went to use the quick check out box but got called to check out at the desk. Unsure why but didn't take too long.Overall a nice stay

Bed quite hard, and sparse with pillows. Was told breakfast 7-11am but when we tried going into restaurant were told weekend times are 7.30-11. Room clean enough but not really worth the money.

Reception staff professional on our arrival but failed to provide a second drinking glass for our room after two seperate phone requests. Duvet on bed designed for one person apparantly not large enough to cover 4'6" width. Two sandwiches ordered at 12.45pm in the bar took 25 minutes to arrive no other customers present, sorry but bread on sandwiches did not appear fresh. Staff always friendly though.

Good central location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. My first stay in a hotel during the pandemic but the hotel was very well managed and I felt very safe. Would definitely use again in future.

We had a clean, great size, family room. It was a comfortable stay with friendly staff. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, both were delicious but they have no cocktails on the menu.The hotel is so well situated...we walked to Trafalgar Square, Covent Gardens and Leicester square. Will definitely stay again.

Fantastic location for exploring London, booked one night to see "Jersey Boys show"The receptionist was extremely polite and welcoming on our arrival, checkin was quick and efficient.Room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was extremely nice with plenty of options to choose from hot or cold.Would use again.
