Tried the chicken teriyaki bento at lunch rush (£6.50). Rice was well cooked, chicken was okay. Not overly sauced - I wouldn't have minded just a bit more. Comparable to other grab and go Japanese places in central London. Not bad, not amazing.

Had dinner here for twice now. Dinner was so good. Takoyaki taste so delicious. Chicken ramen is awesome. However at lunch time, I do not recommend this restaurantTried the chicken ramen, noodles is so soggy. Serving is not great like dinner time.

Chicken katsu curry is really good, slightly disappointed by the pork gyoza. Portions are big enough and the price is not high at all. The style is between a fast food and a proper restaurant.

so regret to choose this place to sort out my take away dinner. I am a big fan of Japanese ramen and work near this place so decided to give it a try today. The chefs look bored in the kitchen, the owner is definitely not Japanese, when the order took 30mins even when the restaurant has only 3 customers, the owner didn't care and didn't even say sorry. Japanese would never be that irresponsible, their high pride on their services would never let that happen. I went back to my office, angry, then open the noodle, horrible. too salty with 4 slides of pork and noodle, no green vege at all....Now I think my stomach is sick. My order is Tonkotsu Ramen for GBP 7.50...so wasted ! I wish I could give 0 star.

As with the other Tsuru in the city, the Katsu chicken sandwich is fantastic. It really is one of my favourite sandwiches in the city but they really need better quality bread than the standard white bread this serve it on. Their Katsu curry is also my favourite in the city as they must cook their sauce with the vegetables whereas other place seem to just pour the sauce onto the veg. The chicken is also cut very thin so it's extra crispy and doesn't get too soggy as you're eating it.

A hidden gem for those who work in this area (or Southwark or Liverpool Street). This Japanese curry and handmade (emphasis!) sushi specialist is based near class A office areas and only operates on weekdays, mostly over lunch. They put a lot of emphasis on their food and I was very surprised they were able to make a extremely good quality chicken leg meat katsu (fried) curry in under 5 minutes, served with proper garnishing and cutleries.Amazing beverage selection, from Japanese soda to wine and champagne. An high end affordable lunch/ quick dinner place with authentic Japanese comfort food.Tsuru is owned by the company that developed the Ramen chain Tonkotsu.

Went here for lunch and bought Chicken Katsu Curry and I must say I was NOT impressed. I much prefer the Japanese Canteen one (which is less than a minutes walk from here). Maybe I'll try something else here at some point, to give them another shot.

Their 8 hour curry is the main attraction here. Very flavoursome and you get a decent portion for a fair price. They have a number of variations of the Japanese curry as well as other side dishes like salads, hand rolls etc. Recently, they started offering a Chicken Karaage burger which is not bad. It's worth a visit if you're into Japanese curry and wanting to try somewhere different.

I think that you'll simply fall in love with the endless combinations of flavours.Every time when I'm in the area, I buy some tasty sushi rolls from this restaurant.I recommend you to try the chicken breast katsu curry. If you have time, close to this restaurant you can find a small place for oriental food. If you go straight, you will reach a wine shop called "City wine collection".

The spicy tuna maki rolls for only £4.25 will meet your expectations for tasty and precisely-made sushi. The atmosphere is pleasant and in my opinion you'll like this restaurant a lot.
