Uncle Wrickle in City of London

Uncle Wrinkles my guy!!! I used to live very close and get a takeaway from here once a week. Such amazing food, portions and uncle is such a nice guy, you feel so welcome to just watch his art at work in his open kitchen whilst you wait. Now I live further away I just wish they did delivery still, making the journey tonight for first time in a while, itll be worth it but Its my first time in a hear rather than the old once per week. But i understand if the workload would be too much and comprimise the product, ill pop back in when I can.

Great food and service. We got the Chicken fried egg rice, the Prawn & Squid fried egg rice, and the Salt and Chili Ribs. All very fresh and very delicious! We’ll be back.

The service is outstanding from these guys. Really welcoming ppl. And their food 🥘 is delicious 🤤. You’ll might wanna try the pork stuff.

Small takeaway place with seating available, although only three tables but still lovely if you want to sit down to eatThey do you have some special dishes like braised pork bellyBoss man was really friendly as well, will return and the pork was really authenticOnly thing to complain is the rice is little bit too soft, but not too bad though

So good man, it's my new go to for Chinese! The portions are great and the food most importantly is full of flavour (make sure you try their dumplings). Would recommend to anyone! Uncle Wrinkle is a polite and pleasant guy too :D

What a wonderful find in New Cross! Fresh delicious food from an old school Chinese takeaway with 3 fairly large tables to dine in. This was coupled with very friendly service from the couple that run the place.I ordered the pork belly on egg fried rice as it looked so good on photos someone else had uploaded to their Google review! Well, it did not disappoint - absolutely delicious, soft and full of flavour. My girlfriend had Singapore style rice with mixed meat/seafood which was also fresh and delicious.Will definitely be returning soon!

Very impressed by the good value great good. The chinese dishes has a Hong Kong flair, eg the prawn toast / salt and pepper squid. All the dishes the owners recommended were amazing and even the egg fried rice was great on its own. Love particularly the Longan tea / red date tea. The owners have great emphasis of the hygiene during this time of pandemic. I’d feel safe to dine in here. Hands down the best Chinese place I have had in London!

This isn't just food, this is art.For an extremely reasonable price, you get the most authentic Chinese food experience there is.A symphony of flavours, I tried the shredded crispy beef - not too sweet, not too salty, not too vinegary - but just the perfect blend of all the flavours. Rice perfectly cooked with really flavourful chilli oil. The ginger and honey tea is simply out of this world!!!Especially now during this pandemic, support artisanal cuisine like this - to me, even upscale places like Sanxia or Hakkassan cannot rival the authenticity of this place.Uncle Wrinkle, I will be back for more. This is a true treat and gastronomical experience.

The food are soooooooo authentic and tasty. People are nice and friendly, the chef is an artist as well, they are the best! I come here everyday basically.
