UNI Restaurant in City of London

What a lovely restaurant. Perfect word of mouth recommendation. The dishes are beautifully presented and served piping hot. I felt as if I was eating art. The serving staff are very professional and attentive. The music is played not to loudly. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. The restaurant is warm, and you barely hear the kitchen from the seated tables. The prices of each dishes are moderate.

This is a very good sushi spot, we had crispy squid and prawn gyoza for starters. Be warned portions are very small. We then had tacos and sushi for mains. All very tasty but again the tacos were really tiny. The quality is top notch, prices are reasonable, staff were friendly.

Popcorn shrimps were to die for, and fish was exceptional! Lovely staff and service, I can’t rate this place highly enough. It’s firmly on my radar now when ever I’m in London, and super convenient as near to Victoria Station.

Came here for a quiet 21st was so so lovely. Food was delicious and the wait staff and chefs were very friendly. Really recommend the sashimi which tasted divine. Even bought me a free ice cream with a candle! Was perfect for a quiet intimate evening and would definitely recommend. 💕

It was rather mediocre experience.None of the dishes left any memorable impresion, Lamb chops were overcooked, tuna sashimi and nigiri sushi was slightly on the brownish collor side not red meat as one would expect from fresh fish.Sparkling water wasn't much sparkling or cold. We were seated in basement, sofas cushions were peeling off in places and generally uncomfortable.Waitress although very polite and kind wasn't much informed about menu and had to go back to kitchen to ask about menu aviability.Dessert ice-cream was very badly presented in miso soup cups and looked unappetising.I don't think I would ever come back, not worth the time and money 😕

A hidden restaurant Victoria, service was good and food was decent. The Dragon Maki roll was decent but personally the size was super small compared to other restaurants. The Fried Tofu was ok but the Fried Prawns and Popcorns prawns were the favourites. It’s a nice restaurant with a cozy interior very ‘up-scale’ dining which is reflected in the price but the food itself wasn’t impressive you can definitely find better sushi at cheaper prices, I went during EOTHO if not with the discount it would’ve been expensive for nothing special.

Extremely disappointed by the manager of this restaurant (photos included!)I went with my partner for dinner. We ordered black cod and found 6 fish bones in it. I've been to many restaurants that serve black cod before and all of them were properly deboned (especially if you're paying £30+ for the cod!!!). My partner actually swallowed 1 of the bones. I reported to the manager (not hoping for a refund or a new dish, just wanted him to know the situation) and he reacted in a very negative way. He defended his chefs and said that it was impossible to debone everything. I appreciate that he's trying to protect his chefs but finding 6 BONES that are as long as 2/3 of my finger is definitely not an excuse. Imagine if someone choked on this?! As I mentioned earlier, all black cod dishes should be deboned properly as it's basic restaurant rule. Plus, finding bones that long should not be a hard task if deboned properly. In my opinion, the manager should have just apologised and not make any excuses and make me feel like I'm in the wrong for reporting an issue.Regardless, all the other staffs were really nice to us and the food was good. It's such a shame because I don't think I would go back there after my encounter with the manager.

Slow service even with only a few tables (20 min for drink order) and some menu items are TINY especially the tacos - total joke. Salmon teriyaki saves it from 1 star - decent size and good. I’d say avoid, plenty of good places in the area.

wow😍😛🍣... FAULTLESS contemporary Japanese cuisine... traditional in portion and flavour yet innovative.... perfected. So much respect for the chefs. Would have given 5 stars but the waiters/waitresses were disinterested and unprofessional. Very much worth a visit though. Honestly the sushi is the best I have EVER had... and that's my fav food.
