Walmer Castle in City of London

Wow! What a fantastic culinary and social experience! The new and improved Walmer Castle has tons to offer in terms of fantastic 5-star food, deliciously curated cocktails, a dog friendly environment and warm welcoming staff to make you feel right at home. The refurbishment has brought new life to the venue and you feel as if you are in the Speyside itself! 10/10 experience. Couldn't recommend it more.

what has happened to this formerly decent pub? clueless staff, don't seem to know what mulled wine is, or recognise the montepulciano on their own menu. The lines aren't clean and the neck oil was grainy. Have gutted the decor. Stopped serving aspall which is a great shame for anyone who likes good cider.

I was surprised that there is pub which has such a quality food and drinks . Also that they’ve different varieties of the food! Have never experienced something like that so definitely recommend if you’re around ! Also the sushi was outstanding!!😋

Such a nice spot in Notting Hill away from the busy Portobello Market, with a nice ambiance and the charm of the neighbourhood. The staff is quite kind and alert, the service is quick and they have a good variety of draught beers and some ciders. Try to sit in the second floor as the view is so nice and the ambiance is more charming. They could take more care with the toilets tough. Good quality of ingredients as the food is good, prices are accordingly and the portions are ok.

Lovely authentic pub in the heart of Notting Hill. My wife and I had a great lunch and a drink there on a Saturday afternoon. Fish and chips is quality, but it desperately lacks mushy peas to balance the dish. Burger is very good, but it could be great, if only you could have it medium as the patty has a great potential. Sticky toffee pudding was flawless.Craft beer selection is varied and not trivial. All round good drinking place. Thanks

This pub was warm, cozy and welcoming. The beer was ok. Sampled one or two but didnt want to take up too much of their time. There was a vegan lasagna on their menu that was calling my name and it was delicious.

TBH, I am not a big fan of pub, this place made me surprised. The foods were very tasty with good quality with an IPA beer that they recommend to me. Gotta try the sweet potato fries! Service was very attentive also. Definitely will visit again.

This is a great pub. Friendly staff and great food. We had a great view of the artists decorating the hording before the Notting Hill Carnival. The chicken wings were so tasty and different. Nice mix of people there too.
