Zizzi - Paddington Street in City of London

Very very slow service! Came for a quick lunch on a dead Monday around 2pm with my friend. Ordered our food and drinks. Drinks came fast but food took ages to arrive. One of our starters got forgotten because the waiter didn’t ‘hear’. By the time our mains arrived we were not hungry anymore so we asked for the bill.Overall I’d have understood if it was busy but besides us there were two more tables in the whole restaurant.I work in hospitality as well and always try to be understanding but the wait was too much!

I had such a great experience at Zizzi Paddington street. Service was excellent, a lot of attention from waiter named Daniel. Well advised from him oven baked burrata, it was super yummy! I will definitely be back. Great food, great place, great service! Thank you to all the team

Food was okay but the service was bad. My pasta was tasteless, the sauce was really thick and they didn't even offer water or salt. I asked a lady for salt, she seemed to be the manager. No smiles it felt like they were doing us a favour instead of providing a service. No more than one tissue per person. I had to ask the same person twice for water before she brought it to us and the second time she was asking us if we wanted it from the tap as if we didn't already tell her.Really miserable meal and disappointing for my first time dining with zizzi.To make it worse I've been sick twice since eating the food and had belly problems.Don't know what the cause is as this never happens to me, i often eat spices.Update: I brought the food home after not being able to eat it without washing it down with water and it going cold waiting for the water. I thought i would see if the food would settle better if it was piping hot. I heated it up and SO much oil came out of such a small portion. I have added photos in the photo section. Of course, i didn't eat it.So, £13 for really bad food and belly problems.

Dined here with a colleague tonight. Greeted at the door and asked if we have any dietary requirements, to which I stated I’m lactose intolerant so anything without dairy in. I was told that pretty much everything has dairy in so there is nothing they can do. That is wrong, they have a vegan menu so I don’t understand that one. Felt food was overpriced for what it was - sea bass tasted undercooked & chips were cold and didn’t come with what was included in the menu description. Dessert was reasonable. Overall, feel both service and quality of food really needs developing. Wouldn’t choose to come here again.

I'm afraid this Zizzi was a huge disappointment. Even allowing fo covid disruptions the staff were both over enthusiastic and completely inept at the same time. Starters served before drinks arrived, inability to explain what ingredients were in the dishes. Admitting the pasta sauces were ready made and unable to be customised...even though they were more expensive than our authentic Italian restaurant around the corner.Uncomfortable that the staff were so close to us, without masks, that we both felt uncomfortable.Infact I'm surprised I've rated it 2 stars!

Terrible experience today, the food did not arrive for almost an hour.When it did, it was the wrong order, they even put things we hadn't ordered.They insisted we take something on the house and we refused it multiple times, they brought us the take away and made us take it.Food was very bland. Do yourselves a favour and go somewhere else.

The food seemed decent and they catered to our dietary requirements. The food took a while to come out.My drink was delicious.

Really disappointed this evening. We booked a table for 8:30pm at 9:25 a member of staff came to our table and told us that we had 5 minutes to order desert because they close early. Asked why they had taken a booking for 8:30pm they replied that they don't have control over the bookings made and said we could order deserts to take away with us! One of our party had their plate/board cleared away while they were still eating. Really disappointed as I said and would really think twice before eating there again.

Incredibly disappointed that most items were unavailable on the menu, even 2 out of the 3 specials. I could understand it if it was late in the evening but we went for a meal at 5:30 so I can't understand why they would put something on the specials board for it to be sold out so quickly. Staff were disinterested and not attentive at all. Zizzi usually has a good experience to dine with kids, although the one at baker Street lefte completely unimpressed

Clever packaging, beautiful presentation - very tasty food! Had lentil ragú - and even though I don't like vegetables, wow!Going to be one of my fav!Looking forward to visit the restaurant next time. Thanks for a good experience.
