Amera Rani in Croydon

Best curry I've ever hadAfghani Lamb Shank. Meat fell of the bone, incredibly tender. Curry was not overly oily, lots of finely chopped onions herbs etc that hits the balance between a smooth paste and large chunks.Flavour was beautiful with a nice spice that was not overpowering.Would highly recommend

This place is very strange they ask you to pay in cash and if you have tastecard, they ask you to tell them before booking. I really wonder why? We presented them tastecard end of our meal and they said they can’t accept it because we didn’t inform them in advance. We end up paying full price. Staff has really ugly attitude. Really horrible experience.

One of the worst Indian takeaway I've had, the tikka masala was watery and tasted like curry sauce you would get from the chip shop. Dansak was bland with no flavour. The popadoms were wet and didnt recieve any of the dips that we had ordered.

Ordered takeaway and it was delicious. Fresh, hot and tasty. Just like my ex!

Sorry to be the odd ball here, but I just wasn't that impressed with the food. My husband and I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant, trying something different from our normal Indian takeaway mainly because neighbours had recommended it, but we were hugely disappointed. The food wasn't really bad but just wasn't really that good either. I found it bland and hot without the spice. My husband also didn't find it that tasty and in particular felt there was more sauce then actual fish in his serving. He called to check the amount of fish that should have been in the serving and staff did confirm that his portion was a little less then what it should have been and offer compensation next time he ordered from them, which was a nice gesture but I think though its always great to try something new we will be sticking to our old takeaway.

Ordered a takeaway from here the other night and it was delicious! Good sized portions and staff were very friendly upon pick up. Food was reasonably priced too.

Parking across the road , friendly staff , great prices and amazing food . Very tasty and well prepared curries . Amazing discount deals available including the tastecard . A regular of mine for sure . Top notch . 👏 حلال

Wonderful evening out with the family again. We travel quite a distance to come here as the food is out of this world and the hospitality is so welcoming and pleasant. They went out of their way to create a booking for us and we were not disappointed. Please bring cash or use the cash machine in the nearby petrol station. I use a tastecard and always leave a tip as the food is wonderful and the service just right. It would seem rude to get such magic at the price quoted.

Amera Rani is a little treasure in a very unexpected location in South Croydon. I have now been a number of times with friends and family and have recommended it to most people I know; I'm delighted when they feed back to me that they agree!These guys have got it spot on! The food is superb and the service is excellent. Keep up the good work.
