Canary Cafe in Croydon

Been going there for years when we come over to visit family. Friendly, clean, great portions of good freshly cooked food with reasonable prices. Looking forward to coming again in August.

Food was fresh and everything hot!Cafe is well cleaned and tidy and the owner and team are very welcoming.I had a quality breakfast and was well fed for my money. Highly recommended!

Ended up at this place unplanned while walking around with family. Ordered Chicken Shish along with few more and chicken Shish in particular which was lovely. We had it at several other similar places before. And found one here better than usual place close to my house. The staff was also good. Don't mind visiting again and trying more dishes at this place. Very decently priced as well.

Average roadside cafe. It’s okay but I wouldn’t necessarily go back. As you walk in there’s a sign asking for cash payment which I completely missed out. Staff didn’t look pleased but did say I could pay with card when I said I had no cash on me therefore was going to leave (before ordering).Thought asking for cash payments was rather odd. Coffee was very diluted which for me as a coffee lover got me started on the wrong foot, tasted of cheap instant coffee. It was more like dirty water. In my opinion it’s overpriced, probably because they serve big portions. We left probably half of our food behind.If you are hungry you will be fed, generally looked clean and the outside looks nice. Good for a quick stop but wouldn’t go back u less had no other choice.

Had a great hot chocolate there, probably one of the best I've had. Friendly and efficient staff. Also make a mean bacon sandwich 🥪 😋

My work colleagues had raved about this cafe on the Brighton Road, so I paid a visit with them. Super portions, traditional fare in a clean and well-managed establishment. A lovely brunch was had. Exceptionally good value.

We held a birthday party in Canary Cafe 2 weeks ago, it was literally last minute due to the horrible weather, needed to rain check our garden party.Fortunately, we found Canary cafe, the owner and the staffs were very friendly and helpful(we meant to leave at 5pm but they didn’t rush us, end up leaving at 5:30) food was nice and my guests were having good time there.
